Aidan Arthur Collins (born 18 October 1986) is an English retired footballer who played as a defender. He made over 25 appearances in the Football League and the Conference National League. Club career Collins began his career at Ipswich and made his debut against Derby County 4–1 in May 2003. He collected a winners medal when Ipswich won the FA Youth Cup in April 2005 and made four league and cup appearances for the first-team in the 2005–06 season before joining Wycombe Wanderers on loan in January 2006. He made five appearances for Wycombe, scoring once, and then joined Stockport County on loan in March 2006, where he started two games before being recalled by Ipswich a month later. Arena Essex Hammers
The Lakeside Hammers were a speedway team who most recently raced in the SGB Championship in 2018. They were founded (as the Arena-Essex Hammers) by promoter Wally Mawdsley and stock car promoter Chick Woodroffe. The team were nicknamed the Hammers after the West Ham Hammers, a speedway team that closed twelve years earlier. The team's home track, the Arena Essex Raceway, closed shortly before the end of the 2018 season and the team did not compete in a league in 2019. History From foundation in 1984 until January 2007, the club was known as the Arena-Essex Hammers but new promoter Stuart Douglas renamed them the 'Lakeside' Hammers at the Arena-Essex Raceway. Neil Collins (speedway Rider)
Neil Jeffrey Collins (born 15 October 1961 in Manchester, England) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from England. Career Collins started his British leagues career with Ellesmere Port Gunners during the 1978 National League season. The very next season in 1979, he rode in the top tier of speedway for the Sheffield Tigers and doubled up the following season with the Edinburgh Monarchs in tier 2. He won his first silverware during the 1981 National League season, winning the Knockout Cup and helping the Monarchs win the Fours Championship. After two seasons with Leicester Lions, he returned to Sheffield in 1984, which turned out to be the season when Collins won a silver medal with the England national speedway team, after finishing runner-up in the World Team Cup final. He remained at Sheffield for five more seasons before signing for in Wolverhampton Wolves in 1989.
