Stephanie Rigamat
Stephanie Rigamat (born August 5, 1979) is an American former soccer player who played as a forward, making seven appearances for the United States women's national team. Career Rigamat played for the Crescenta Valley Falcons in high school, finishing as the school's recorded scorer with 109 goals and helping the team to win two league championships. In college, she played for the UC Irvine Anteaters from 1997 to 1998. She received All-Big West first team honors in 1997 and 1998, and was included in the All-West Region first team in 1997 (NSCAA) and third team in 1998 (''Soccer Buzz''). In total, she scored 22 goals and recorded 11 assists in 42 appearances for the Anteaters. She later joined the UCLA Bruins, playing for the team in 2000 and 2001 after redshirting during the 1999 season. All-America
The All-America designation is an annual honor bestowed upon an amateur sports person from the United States who is considered to be one of the best amateurs in their sport. Individuals receiving this distinction are typically added to an All-America team for their sport. Some sports will have multiple All-America teams and will list the honorees as members of a first team, second team, or third team. As such, All-America teams are composed of outstanding US amateur players. Individuals falling short of qualifying for the honor may receive All-America honorable mention. 2001 Algarve Cup
The 2001 Algarve Cup was the eighth edition of the Algarve Cup, an invitational women's association football tournament. It took place between 11 and 17 March 2001 in Portugal with Sweden winning the event defeating Denmark, 3-0, in the final game. Format The eight participating teams are same as previous year: Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Portugal, Sweden and the United States. The eight teams were split into two groups that played a round-robin group stage.
