Stendy Appeltoft (27 November 1920 – 28 November 1992) was a Swedish footballer who played as a defender. He won one cap for the Sweden national team in 1955. Club career Appeltoft played his club football for Högaborgs BK and Helsingborgs IF and appeared in a total of 382 games for Helsingborg. International career Appeltoft made his only appearance for the Sweden national team on 28 August 1955 when he replaced Bengt Gustavsson in the 19th minute in a friendly game against Finland. Högaborgs BK
Högaborgs BK is a Swedish football club from Helsingborg that was founded in 1927. They currently play in the Swedish fourth division ( Division 2). Background The club was founded in the spring 1927 by Sven Damberg and Lars Flodin and a group of friends. During their first year they played in blue shirts and white shorts, but in 1928 they changed to their current colours. The newly formed club also laid out a sports ground at Viskans vall in eastern Högaborg but were forced to move out in 1937 because Helsingborg municipality wanted to use the site for housing. The club played at Tre Torns plan in Jönköpingsgatan until 1942 when Harlyckans Idrottsplats was completed and the club moved there. Harlyckan has been the club's home ever since. Helsingborgs IF
Helsingborgs IF (full name Helsingborgs Idrottsförening), commonly referred to as HIF (), is a Swedish professional football club located in Helsingborg. They play in the Swedish first tier, Allsvenskan, following promotion in the 2021 Superettan season via play-offs. Formed in 1907, the club has won five national championship titles and five national cup titles. Helsingborgs IF have also won Allsvenskan on two occasions when the title of Swedish champions was not decided by the outcome of that league. Sweden B played their first game against Norway on 29 September 1929, a game which ended in a 3–1 victory. Their last game was a 1–0 win against Poland on 21 May 1997.
