Stefano Manfredi
Stefano "Steve" Manfredi (born 1954) is an Italian-born chef, author and leading exponent of modern Italian cuisine in Australia. He has opened and operated several restaurants in Sydney since 1983, most notably The Restaurant Manfredi and Bel Mondo (sold in 2002). Manfredi has written on food and cooking since 1988, is a regular columnist for The Sydney Morning Herald, and is the author of four books; ''Fresh From Italy'' (1993), ''Bel Mondo: Beautiful World'' (2000), ''Seasonal'' (2007), and ''Seasonal Italian Favourites'' (2009). He is also the developer of coffee brand "Espresso di Manfredi" by Piazza d'Oro. Manfredi is often invited to cook, teach and speak on food in Sydney, interstate and overseas, including The International Olive Oil Council in New Zealand, Mediterranean Gastronomy Conference in Stresa, Italy and has previously cooked in Jakarta, Hong Kong, Singapore and Rome. Isabella "Izzi" Rubi Manfredi (born 1987) is an Australian pop singer, songwriter and activist from Sydney, New South Wales. Manfredi is best known as the former lead vocalist of indie rock band the Preatures. Her debut single "Jealousy" was released on 26 May 2021. Early life Isabella Rubi Manfredi was born in 1987 to parents Julie Manfredi and Italian Australian celebrity chef Stefano Manfredi. She was raised in Sydney, New South Wales. Career 2010–present: The Preatures Manfredi met Thomas Champion and Jack Moffitt at the Australian Institute of Music in 2008. Blacktown is a suburb in the City of Blacktown, in Greater Western Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Blacktown is located west of the Sydney central business district. Bonegilla Migrant Reception And Training Centre
The Bonegilla Migrant Reception and Training Centre was a camp set up for receiving and training migrants to Australia during the post World War II immigration boom. The camp was set on near Wodonga at the locality of Bonegilla in north east Victoria, between the Hume Dam and the city of Wodonga. The site was a former World War II Australian Army base, and is adjacent to the current Latchford Barracks. Before being requisitioned by the army, the site was originally a section of large pastoral land. The camp opened in 1947 and operated until 1971, over which period it received over 300,000 migrants. It is estimated that over 1.5 million Australians are descended from migrants who spent time at Bonegilla. Eric Bana's parents were both processed through Bonegilla. The Preatures
The Preatures were an Australian indie rock band from Sydney, New South Wales, who formed in 2010. The band consisted of lead vocalist and keyboardist Isabella "Izzi" Manfredi, guitarist and vocalist Jack Moffitt, bassist Thomas Champion, and drummer Luke Davison. Vocalist and guitarist Gideon Bensen was a member of the band until 2016. In 2013, the Preatures won the Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition with their song " Is This How You Feel?" They disbanded in 2021, following the launch of Manfredi's solo career. Career Champion and Moffitt were school friends at Newington College, Sydney, and they met Manfredi at the Australian Institute of Music in 2008.
