Stefan Oakes
Stefan Trevor Oakes (born 6 September 1978) is an English former professional footballer, who notably represented Leicester City in the Premier League during a career which began in 1998 and ended in 2013. Career Leicester City Oakes was born in Leicester, Leicestershire. A left-footed midfielder, he began his career at Leicester City. Given his debut as a substitute in a 2–4 defeat to Chelsea at Filbert Street at the age of 19, he represented Leicester in the 2000 League Cup final at Wembley Stadium. Showaddywaddy are a rock and roll group from Leicester, England. They specialise in revivals of hit songs from the 1950s and early 1960s, while also issuing original material. Showaddywaddy spent 209 weeks on the UK Singles Chart, and had 10 Top Ten singles, with one reaching number one. Formation The band was formed in 1973 by the amalgamation of two groups, Choise and the Golden Hammers, the latter often known simply as The Hammers. They both played at the Fosse Way pub in Leicester and soon discovered shared musical tastes. After playing together in jamming sessions, they joined together permanently and Showaddywaddy was born. This led to an eight-member band, with the unusual feature of having two vocalists, two drummers, two guitarists, and two bassists. Scott Oakes
Scott Oakes (born 5 August 1972) is a former professional footballer, best known from his time at Luton Town in the early 1990s. Oakes began his career at Leicester City but was transferred to Luton in 1991 as part of the deal that took Steve Thompson the opposite way. At Luton, Oakes soon became a regular in the side, and a fan favourite, usually playing on the left wing. During his time at Kenilworth Road, he became regarded as one of the most promising players in English football, and was often rumoured as a target for bigger clubs. The United Counties League (also known after its sponsor as the ''Uhlsport United Counties League'') is an English football league covering Northamptonshire, Rutland and Bedfordshire and most of Leicestershire as well as parts of Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Nottinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands. Peter Allan Jackson (born 6 April 1961 in Bradford, England) is a football manager and former footballer. He has previously had two spells as Huddersfield Town manager, whom he helped win the Division Three play-off in 2004, and he has also managed Lincoln City, before taking charge at his former playing club Bradford City in 2011. As a player, Jackson started his career with his hometown club Bradford City, where as the club's youngest ever captain, he lifted the Third Division title in 1985 on the day of the Bradford City stadium fire.
