Ken Steacy
Ken Steacy (born January 8, 1955) is a Canadian comics artist and writer best known for his work on the NOW Comics comic book series of ''Astro Boy'' and of the Comico comic series of ''Jonny Quest'', as well as his graphic novel collaborations with Harlan Ellison (''Night and the Enemy'', 1987) and Dean Motter (''The Sacred and the Profane'', 1987). Steacy was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets 386 Comox Squadron. Career Ken Steacy had work published in several issues of the '' Star Reach'' comics anthology series from 1977 to 1979. He collaborated with writer Dean Motter on "The Sacred and the Profane" in ''Star Reach'' and the feature was later redrawn and expanded in '' Epic Illustrated'' #20–26 (Oct. 1983–Oct. 1984). The entire story was collected into a trade paperback by Eclipse Comics in 1987. Will Steacy
Will Steacy (born 1980) is an American writer and photographer based in New York City. His work is held in the collection of the Museum of Contemporary Photography, Chicago. Life and work Steacy "descended from five generations of newspaper men. His great-great-great-grandfather started the Evening Dispatch in York, Pa., in 1876 and his father was an editor for The Philadelphia Inquirer." He received his BFA from the Tisch School of the Arts, at New York University in 2003. Before becoming a professional photographer, he worked as a union laborer. Sean O'Hagan in ''The Observer'' described Steacy's ''Down these Mean Streets'' (2012) as "a merging of his own photographs with newspaper clippings, journal entries and various found material pertaining to the long death of the American dream, from Reaganomics in the 1980s to the current economic recession." James Steacy
James Steacy (born 29 May 1984 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) is a male hammer thrower from Canada. His personal best of 79.13 metres, achieved in May 2008 in Lethbridge, Alberta, stands as the current Canadian record. He represented Canada at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. With a top 12 finish at the 2008 Summer Olympics, he became the first Canadian in 84 years to reach the Olympic hammer throw final. Competing for University of Lethbridge, he is a five time CIS national champion in the weight throw and is the current CIS record holder in the event. He is the older brother of Canadian hammer thrower Heather Steacy. He currently serves as a police officer for Lethbridge Police Service, in Lethbridge, Alberta. Ashley Steacy (born June 28, 1987) is a Canadian rugby union player. She won a gold medal at the 2015 Pan American Games as a member of the Canadian women's rugby sevens team. Heather Steacy (born April 14, 1988 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) is a Canadian track and field athlete competing in the hammer throw. She competed in the hammer throw event at the 2012 Summer Olympics where she finished 34th. Newton Phillips Steacy
Newton Phillips Steacy (October 30, 1896 – July 1969) was a political figure in British Columbia. He represented North Vancouver in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia from 1956 to 1960 as a Social Credit member. He was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, the son of A.R. Steacy and Frances A. Phillips. In 1921, Steacy married Ruth J. Clements. He was a local manager for Borden Co. Ltd. (a milk and dairy business). Steacy served in the provincial cabinet as Minister of Agriculture. He was defeated when he ran for reelection in 1960. After leaving politics, Steacy served as trade commissioner for British Columbia in San Francisco.
