State Anthem Of The Republic Of Tatarstan
The state anthem of the Republic of Tatarstan ( tt-Cyrl, Татарстан Җөмһүрияте Дәүләт гимны, translit=Tatarstan Cömhüriyäte Däwlät gimnı ) was composed by Tatar musician Röstäm Yaxin and was first adopted in 1993 without lyrics. Twenty years later, lyrics written by Ramazan Baytimerov were made official. Lyrics Current lyrics On 21 February 2013, the Parliament of Tatarstan unanimously approved lyrics written by Baytimerov. The lyrics were translated into Russian by Assyrian-Russian poet Filipp Pirayev. The first two verses are sung in Tatar, followed by two verses sung in Russian. Original lyrics The original proposed lyrics of the anthem titled "" ("My native country") was written by Ramazan Baytimerov in the 1970s, which was subsequently translated into Russian by Marsel Sabirov. Tatar Alphabet
Two scripts are currently used for the Tatar language: Arabic (in China) and Cyrillic (in Russia and Kazakhstan). History of Tatar writing Before 1928, the Tatar language was usually written using alphabets based on the Arabic alphabet: İske imlâ alphabet before 1920 and Yaña imlâ alphabet in 1920–1927. Some letters such as and were borrowed from the Persian alphabet and the letter (called ''nef'' or ''sağır kef'') was borrowed from Chagatai. The writing system was inherited from Volga Bulgar. The most ancient of Tatar literature (''Qíssai Yosıf'' by Qol-Ğäli, written in Old Tatar language) was created in the beginning of the 13th century. Tatar ( or ) is a Turkic languages, Turkic language spoken by Volga Tatars, Tatars mainly located in modern Tatarstan (European Russia), as well as Siberia.
