Starmania (TV Series)
''Starmania'' is an Austrian casting show/talent show for would-be pop stars. It is broadcast on the Austrian TV channel ORF 1. Despite striking similarities, ''Starmania'' is not a licensed version of the '' Idols'' format distributed by FremantleMedia. Attempts to export the format to Germany failed due to legal intervention from Fremantle. In 2004, ORF managed to sell the rights to the Swiss channel SF, where the show is called ''MusicStar''. From 2003 to 2009, four seasons of ''Starmania'' have been aired in Austria. To date, the winners have been Michael Tschuggnall, Verena Pötzl, Nadine Beiler and Oliver Wimmer. Christina Stürmer, who placed second in the first season, has become more famous than the other winners combined, with top charts positions in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy. Also Conchita Wurst who was known as ''Thomas Neuwirth'' at Starmania, has become more famous than the other winners because she won the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhag ...

Cosima Arabella-Asereba Kiesbauer (born 8 April 1969), known professionally as Arabella Kiesbauer, is an Austrian born German-Austrian TV presenter, writer and actress. She grew up in Vienna with her grandmother after her mother Hannelore (a German theater actress) and her father Sammy Ammissah (a Ghanaian engineer) separated. Career While she studied journalism and dramaturgy she started to work as presenter with the Austrian public service television broadcaster ORF. Luise Gruber
Luise Gruber (born 27 June 1982 in Wels, Austria), better known by her stage name Saint Lu is an Austrian singer and songwriter. She currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany. Recording career Luise Gruber was a member of many short-living bands, including the school band "Joe Graham", the Big Band Neuhofen the show band "Connection" and the rock band "Djaleb". She has also mentioned in an interview that she has been a member of several metal and jazz bands. In 1998 she was a part of a rock band called ''Luise Gruber & Zentao'' which was later renamed to Centao. Soon after the recording of the first demos, Gruber leaves the band. Falco (De Jong) Luneau (7 August 1984) is an Austrian-Dutch singer-songwriter. He is best known for his 2006 participation in the Austrian version of ''American Idol'', '' Starmania'' and his subsequent formation of the boyband “ jetzt anders!” with several other participants, notably Tom Neuwirth, who in his Conchita Wurst persona won the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. Austria participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Get a Life – Get Alive" written by Greg Usek and Austin Howard. The song was performed by Eric Papilaya.
