Starjob
''Starjob'' is an EP by The Frogs that was recorded in 1994, and finally released in 1997. Billy Corgan produced the record under the alias "Johnny Goat", and Jimmy Chamberlin played bongos on the song "Raped". The songs on ''Starjob'' deal with celebrity and fame, although the songs "Raped" and "Weird on the Avenue" continue the perverse themes of previous albums. "I Only Play 4 Money" may be the most well known song by the band, which contains the lyrics "I don't give a fuck about the fans" and "if you send me fanmail/I won't write back". "Lord Grunge" is an homage to Kurt Cobain, and references The Who, Black Sabbath, Black Flag and the Beatles as the forefathers of grunge. The Frogs were an American rock music band founded in 1980, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, by brothers Jimmy and Dennis Flemion. The brothers mainly wrote and performed short, catchy pop songs, but they are also known for their improvised home recordings which are delivered in a comedic style, and often include controversial issues such as race, religion, and sexuality (notably homoeroticism). Billy Corgan
William Patrick Corgan Jr. (born March 17, 1967) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and professional wrestling promoter. He is best known as the lead singer, primary songwriter, guitarist, and only permanent member of the rock band the Smashing Pumpkins. He is currently the owner and promoter of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). Corgan formed The Smashing Pumpkins in Chicago in 1988 along with guitarist James Iha, followed by bassist D'arcy Wretzky and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin. ''My Daughter the Broad'' is an album by the American band the Frogs, released in 1996. It is a compilation of improvised homemade recordings that were mostly recorded in the late 1980s. Many of the songs continue themes from '' It's Only Right and Natural'', such as homosexual supremacy and social conservative fears. The album introduces two new personas of Dennis Flemion, with distinct-sounding voices, a geriatric pervert and the high-pitched murderer Jack, as in the songs "Reelin' and Rockin #1" and "I'm Evil, Jack." Fans often request songs from the album in concert, but the band refuses to play some of them because of the difficulties involved with re-creating an improvisation in a live setting. Jimmy Chamberlin
James Joseph Chamberlin (born June 10, 1964) is an American drummer and record producer. He is best known as the drummer for the alternative rock band The Smashing Pumpkins. Following the 2000 breakup of the band, Chamberlin joined Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan in the supergroup Zwan and also formed his own group, the Jimmy Chamberlin Complex. In 2005, Chamberlin joined Corgan in reforming The Smashing Pumpkins; he eventually left the group in March 2009, though he returned again in 2015 for a summer tour. He performed in the group Skysaw until 2012. He is currently active under the Jimmy Chamberlin Complex name. Jimmy Flemion is a founding member, with his older brother Dennis Flemion, of controversial independent rock band The Frogs. Jimmy is mostly the lead singer and guitarist for the group. He has been known to play solo shows with just an acoustic guitar. In 1996, the brothers toured with The Smashing Pumpkins on the ''Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness Tour''. Mudhoney is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1988, following the demise of Green River. ''In Utero'' is the third and final studio album by American rock band Nirvana. It was released on September 21, 1993, by DGC Records. After breaking into the mainstream with their second album, ''Nevermind'' (1991), Nirvana hired Steve Albini to record ''In Utero'', seeking a more complex, abrasive sound that was also reminiscent of their debut album, ''Bleach'' (1989). Frontman Kurt Cobain took heavy inspiration from his personal struggles for the album's lyrics, many of which express feelings of angst that were common on ''Nevermind''. Dennis Flemion (June 6, 1955 – July 7, 2012) was a founding member, with his younger brother Jimmy, of the controversial independent rock band The Frogs. He was the primary percussionist for the band and was also a temporary member of The Smashing Pumpkins from 1996 to 1997, filling in on live keyboards following the death of Jonathan Melvoin. The Flemion brothers also appeared on "Medellia of the Gray Skies" on the band's single for " Tonight, Tonight". On '' Adore'', the brothers backed vocals for "To Sheila" and "Behold!
