Star Search (Singaporean Season 10)
Star Search 2010 is the 10th installment of ''Star Search''. Auditions were held across Singapore, Malaysia, China and Taiwan. The competition began on 30 August 2010. The Semifinal took place on 14 November and Grand Final took place on 5 December 2010. Between the Semifinal and Grand Final, the remaining contestants were put through intensive training. Ann Kok
Ann Kok (; born 11 January 1973) is a Singaporean actress. She started her acting career in 1993 after emerging as a finalist in the local talent-search competition ''Star Search'', where she won a contract to work on Chinese-language TV channel SBC 8 (now MediaCorp Channel 8). Subsequently, Kok rose to popularity and played numerous lead roles in television series in the 1990s. She was ranked the "Third ''Ah Jie''" by the local media, which defined her as the third most prominent actress in Singapore's Chinese-language entertainment industry of that time. Lawrence Cheng
Lawrence Cheng Tan-shui (born 28 December 1954) is a Hong Kong film actor, director, screenwriter, producer, and master of ceremonies. He was a Hong Kong DJ and radio channel executive. Cheng became famous after he created the radio drama series ''The Yuppie Fantasia'' (小男人週記) in 1986 which he also starred in. In 1989, he starred in the film adaptation of the series which was directed by Gordon Chan and became a box office hit. Early life Cheng was born in Hong Kong on 27 November 1954. Ng Hui
Ng Hui (, born 22 July 1979) is a Singaporean former actress and television host. She was prominently a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 2000 to 2012. Biography Ng attended Jin Shan Primary School, Raffles Girls' Secondary School and Hwa Chong Junior College and graduated from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) with a degree in Communication Studies. She was awarded the Outstanding Young Alumni Award by NTU in 2008. While studying in NTU, Ng went on an internship with Mediacorp to learn to be an assistant director. Lin Meijiao () is a Singaporean actress. Life and career Lin was educated at Ahmad Ibrahim Secondary School. The Little Nyonya
''The Little Nyonya'' ( zh, c= ) is a 2008 drama serial on Singapore's free-to-air MediaCorp TV Channel 8. It stars Jeanette Aw, Qi Yuwu, Dai Xiangyu, Lin Meijiao, Pan Lingling, Cynthia Koh, Pierre Png, Joanne Peh, Desmond Sim, Eelyn Kok, Andie Chen, Ng Hui and Xiang Yun as the casts of the series. The storyline, which circles around the biographical flashback of an extended Peranakan family in Malacca, is set in the 1930s and spans to over 70 years and several generations of three families. Cynthia Koh (born 25 March 1974), also known as Xu Mei Zhen 许美珍, is a Singaporean actress. She is best known for acting in many television dramas produced by MediaCorp Channel 8. Early life Koh has one younger sister. Her father works in the Singapore Civil Defence Force while her mother is a housewife. Koh received her education at Saint Anthony's Canossian Secondary School. Dennis Chew Chong Kheng (born 15 August 1973), also known as Zhou Chongqing, is a Singaporean radio deejay, actor, variety show host and singer. Chew is known for playing Aunty Lucy, a character which requires him to cross-dress as a middle-aged woman in the variety show ''Paris and Milan''. Lee Teng (actor)
Lee Teng () is a television host based in Singapore and on contract basis with Left Profile. Lee won the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artiste award and the Best Programme Host twice at the Star Awards. Black Rose (Singaporean TV Series)
''Black Rose'' (爆料黑玫瑰) is a MediaCorp Channel 8 Chinese language comedy-satire variety show. It is a remake of the Taiwanese show Celebrity Imitated Show (全民最大黨) and features various MediaCorp artistes acting as different characters with parodic mannerisms and names. Personalities and characters spoofed are often well-known figures in the Chinese language entertainment industry. The show takes the format of a talk show, with one of the regular cast members or a guest star taking the role as host. The host holds a black rose and introduces the six other personalities one by one. Five cast members made a guest appearance at the ''Star Search'' 2010 Grand Finals during the Q & A segment. It was hosted by Chew Chor Meng and featured some of their well-known characters. The show returned for a second season on 7 April 2014. Chew Chor Meng
Chew Chor Meng (born 20 November 1968), better known as Zhou Chuming, is a Singaporean actor. He is one of the first batch of actors to receive the All-Time Favourite Artiste award with Zoe Tay & Li Nanxing.
