Star Awards 2002 is a television award telecast in 2002 as part of the annual Star Awards organised by MediaCorp for MediaCorp TV Channel 8. The ninth installment was held on 8 December 2012, with the ceremony hosted by Taiwanese host Timothy Chao and Channel 8 newscaster Chun Guek Lay. 28 awards were given out this year, an increase of five from last year, including three new categories awarded this year. Tan Kheng Hua (; born 17 January 1963) is a Singaporean actress. She is best known for her supporting role in the 2018 film ''Crazy Rich Asians'' and for the martial arts television series ''Kung Fu'' in 2021. Yao Wenlong (, born 14 November 1970) is a Singapore based Malaysian actor. Ng Aik Leong (Chinese: ), better known by his Chinese name Huang Yiliang, is a former veteran Singaporean television actor and director. Jacelyn Tay Siew Cheng (; born 12 June 1975) is a Singaporean former actress, health coach and businesswoman . She was crowned the female champion of the local Star Search Singapore competition in 1995 and was a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 1995 to 2006. In 2004 and 2005 respectively, Tay published the books ''Feel Good Look Good with Jacelyn'' and ''Make-up for Asian Women''.
