Stan Storton
Stanley Eugene Storton (born 5 January 1939) is an English former football player and manager. Personal life Born in Keighley, Storton is the older brother of fellow professional player Trevor Storton. Following his management career, Storton ran an office cleaning firm in Ellesmere Port. Career Playing career Storton, who played as a full back, began his career at Huddersfield Town as an amateur. He turned professional in 1959, appearing in the Football League for Bradford City, Darlington, Hartlepool United and Tranmere Rovers, before dropping into non-league football with Ellesmere Port Town. Keighley ( ) is a market town and a civil parish in the City of Bradford Borough of West Yorkshire, England. It is the second largest settlement in the borough, after Bradford. Keighley is north-west of Bradford city centre, north-west of Bingley, north of Halifax and south-east of Skipton. It is governed by Keighley Town Council and Bradford City Council. The Football League
The English Football League (EFL) is a league of professional football clubs from England and Wales. Founded in 1888 as the Football League, the league is the oldest such competition in the world. Trevor Storton
Trevor Storton (26 November 1949 – 23 March 2011) was an English footballer who played as a central defender. The early years He began his career at Tranmere Rovers, playing alongside his older brother Stan, he played over 100 games for the club between 1967 and 1972, when he joined Liverpool. Storton was one of a number of players signed by Liverpool manager Bill Shankly in the late 60s and early 70s, in an attempt to rebuild the team, but he struggled to gain a regular place in the first-team. He played ten games in his first-season, and was a regular fixture in the squad for the UEFA Cup campaign, which he ended with a winner's medal. The following season, he only made two appearances, and he was sold to Chester in 1974.
