Newtown, Victoria
Newtown is an inner western suburb of Geelong, Victoria, Australia. At the , Newtown had a population of 10,155. It is a primarily residential area occupying one of the highest points of urban Geelong, has always been a desirable place of residence and it is the location of many of Geelong's oldest and most valuable properties. The locality of Chilwell is part of Newtown, and together Newtown and Chilwell were a municipality from 1858 to 1993 after which they were amalgamated with other municipalities to form the City of Greater Geelong in 1993. Allen Christensen (born 19 May 1991) is a former professional Australian rules football player who played for the Brisbane Lions and Geelong Cats in the Australian Football League. Early life Born and raised in the Geelong rural suburb of Lara to parents Brendan and Helen, Christensen played junior football with the Lara Football Club, and later the St Mary's Football Club in Darwin as an under-15 and under-16 player while his father coached the senior side for two seasons in 2005 and 2006. Tim Bourke
Tim Bourke is an Australian bridge player and writer. He is internationally renowned as a collector and composer of bridge hands, or , having composed most of those in David Bird's "Abbot" series since 1996. He also put together the world's largest collections of English-language bridge books, magazines and Ephemara. Damian Bourke
Damian Bourke (born 19 January 1965) is a former Australian rules footballer for Australian Football League (AFL) clubs Geelong during the 1980s and Brisbane in the early 1990s. Bourke played as a ruckman and captained Geelong from 1987 until 1989. His last game as captain was the 1989 VFL Grand Final where Geelong lost to Hawthorn by a goal. Bourke finished equal eighth in the 1991 Brownlow Medal and in 1993 moved to Queensland to play for Brisbane. Bourke retired at the end of the 1995 AFL season. Bernard Daniel Bongiorno is an Australian professor who is a former Court of Appeal justice at the Supreme Court of Victoria in Australia. He was formerly a justice of the Trial Division of the Supreme Court, where he served between 2000 and 2009.
