The Abbey of Santa Maria del Monte (St. Mary of the Mountain) is a Order of St. Benedict, Benedictine monastery in Cesena, Italy. This imposing building stands on the ''Colle Spaziano'' (''Spaziano Hill''). Bellapais Abbey
Bellapais Abbey (also spelled Bellapaïs) is the ruin of a monastery built by Canons Regular in the 13th century on the northern side of the small village of Bellapais, now in Turkish- controlled Northern Cyprus, about five kilometres from the town of Kyrenia. The ruin is at an altitude of 220 m above sea level, and commands a long view down to Kyrenia and the Mediterranean sea. The site is also a museum, which hosts a restaurant and a cafe. The image of Our Lady of the Mountain originated in Colombia and the region of the Cauca Valley in particular, where the city of Guadalajara de Buga is located. This Acheiropoita is a well known figure that has been officially recognized by the Roman Catholic Church. The image has been called with different names since then by the Hispanic people, initially known as Our Lady of the Rosary, and even also as Our lady of the Favor (Nuestra Senora de la Merced).
