Santiago
Santiago (, ; ), also known as Santiago de Chile, is the capital and largest city of Chile as well as one of the largest cities in the Americas. It is the center of Chile's most densely populated region, the Santiago Metropolitan Region, whose total population is 8 million which is nearly 40% of the country's population, of which more than 6 million live in the city's continuous urban area. Juan Esteban Montero
Juan Esteban Montero Rodríguez (February 12, 1879 – February 25, 1948) was a Chilean political figure. He served twice as president of Chile between 1931 and 1932. Early life He was born in Santiago, the son of Benjamín Montero and of Eugenia Rodríguez. Juan Esteban Montero studied at the ''colegio de San Ignacio'' and at the Universidad de Chile. He graduated as a lawyer on September 16, 1901, and soon after became professor of civil and Roman law at his ''alma mater''. He also worked as a government lawyer and in private practice. Carlos Walker Martínez
Carlos Walker Martínez (born in Vallenar on 2 February 1842; died in Santiago, Chile, on 5 October 1905) was a Chilean lawyer, politician and poet. Biography In September 1865, he was studying law at the University of Chile, when war with Spain began, and he enlisted in the navy, participating in the engagement of Abtao, 7 February 1866. In the same year he founded the literary magazine ''La República Literaria'', at the head of which he remained while he was in Chili. He was appointed in 1867 secretary of the legation in Bolivia, was graduated in law in 1868, and traveled through Europe and the United States. On his return to Chile in 1870, Walker Martínez was elected to congress for the department of Vallenar, and became secretary of the chamber of deputies. He was well known as a parliamentary orator. Juan Pablo Longueira Montes (born August 12, 1958) is a Chilean right-wing politician and industrial civil engineer who served as Minister of Economy, Development and Tourism of Chile from 2011 to 2013. He was a founding member of the Independent Democratic Union (UDI) being very close to Jaime Guzmán. Within the UDI he led the social-conservative camp, which coexisted with Jovino Novoa's liberal-conservative faction. Sergio Livingstone
Serjio Robert Livingstone Pohlhammer (26 March 1920 – 11 September 2012), later simply known as Sergio Livingstone, was a Chilean goalkeeper, who later became a well-regarded journalist. He was nicknamed "El Sapo" ("the toad") for his typical posture in the goal. From 1938 to 1959 he played primarily for CD Universidad Católica in Santiago. Emiliano Figueroa
Emiliano Figueroa Larraín (; July 12, 1866 – May 15, 1931) was President of Chile from December 23, 1925 until his resignation on May 10, 1927. He also served as Acting president for a few months in 1910. Biography Figueroa was born on July 12, 1866 in Santiago, son of Francisco de Paula Figueroa Araoz and of Rosalía Larraín Echeverría.
