St. Catharines Wolves
St. Catharines Roma Wolves (also known as St. Catharines Wolves or simply Roma Wolves), are a Canadian soccer team, founded in 1967. The team currently plays in the semi-professional League1 Ontario in both the men's and women's divisions. The club is a former member of the Canadian Soccer League (CSL), where it fielded a professional team from 1998–2013, and now operates youth teams in the Peninsula Soccer League. Teams play out of Club Roma in St. Catharines, Ontario in the Niagara Peninsula. The team's colours are dark red and white, mimicking those of the famous Italian club A.S. Roma. Formed in 1967 as Club Roma Soccer Association and competed in various local leagues. In 1977 the club renamed itself the St. Catharines Roma, and joined the National Soccer League. Lucio Ianiero (born 13 December 1966) is a Canadian retired soccer player and coach who played in the Canadian Soccer League, American Professional Soccer League, Canadian National Soccer League, National Professional Soccer League, and the Canadian Professional Soccer League. Club career Ianiero played for the Hamilton Steelers in the original Canadian Soccer League and was the league's 12th best scorer in 1988 with 9 goals. In 1992, he joined the London Lasers. SC Toronto
SC Toronto was a Canadian soccer team, founded in 1994. The team was a member of the Canadian Soccer League, and played its final home games at Lamport Stadium in the city of Toronto, Ontario. The club found success early on since its inception as the Toronto Supra in the Canadian National Soccer League, making the postseason in 1996, and the championship finals in 1997. With the creation of the Canadian Professional Soccer League in 1998, Toronto missed out in registering for the league which resulted in the club completing in local amateur leagues. Peter Sarantopoulos
Peter Sarantopoulos (born 2 May 1968) is a former Canadian international soccer defender. Club career Sarantopolous was a two-time First Team and one-time Second Team Canadian Interuniversity Sport All-Canadian with the University of Toronto Varsity Blues. He played for the North York Rockets in the Canadian Soccer League from 1988 to 1992, where he was named a league All-Star in 1991 and 1992. During the 1992 season, he was traded to the Winnipeg Fury. Jerry Cipriani is a Canadian former soccer player who played in the USISL Pro League, Canadian National Soccer League, and the Canadian Professional Soccer League. Playing career Cipriani began his career in 1995 with the New Hampshire Ramblers of the USISL Pro League. In 1996, he signed with St. Catharines Wolves of the Canadian National Soccer League. He made his debut for the club on June 2, 1996 in a match against Toronto Italia. In his debut season with St. Catharines he captured the Umbro Cup by finishing first in the cup standings. Peyvand Mossavat (born August 17, 1970) is an Iranian-born Canadian former soccer player and coach who played in the Canadian Soccer League. Canadian National Soccer League, National Professional Soccer League, USL A-League, and the Canadian Professional Soccer League. Playing career Mossavat began his professional career in 1990 being drafted by the Winnipeg Fury of the Canadian Soccer League. The North York Astros were a Canadian soccer team that was founded in 1990. The team initially played in the National Soccer League. The team played their home games at Esther Shiner Stadium in North York, a district of the city of Toronto, Canada. The team's colours were orange and black.
