Srbija Voz
Srbija Voz ( sr-Cyrl, Србија Воз; English: ''Serbia Train'') is the national passenger railway company of Serbia. Srbija Voz is an associate member of the International Union of Railways (UIC) since 2016. History In March 2015, the Government of Serbia announced its plan to establish three new railway companies, splitting the Serbian Railways state-owned company in separate businesses – passenger (Srbija Voz), cargo (Srbija Kargo) and infrastructure (Serbian Railways Infrastructure). Srbija Voz was founded on 10 August 2015, as the national passenger railway company of Serbia, after being split from the Serbian Railways, in the process of reconstruction and better optimization of business. In February 2019, Srbija Voz temporarily suspended transportation on Belgrade–Novi Sad railway (one of the country’s most frequent passenger routes) until February 2022, due to the railway line’s reconstruction. Siemens Vectron
The Vectron is a locomotive series made by Siemens Mobility, introduced at the 2010 InnoTrans trade fair in four prototype versions: diesel, multi-system, and both AC and DC electric power. The diesel version has been replaced in 2018 by a dual mode locomotive which is powered by electricity on electrified sections of the track and can be switched to diesel mode on non-electrified sections. Couchette Car
A couchette car is a railway carriage conveying non or semi-private sleeping accommodation. Overview The car is divided into a number of compartments (typically 8 to 10) accessed from the side corridor of the car, which in daytime are configured with a bench seat along each long side of the compartment. At an appropriate time in the journey, the attendant who travels in the car (or by agreement the passengers booked in the compartment) converts the compartment into its night-time configuration with two (1st class) or three (2nd class) bunks on each long side of the compartment, creating a total of four bunks in first class and six in second class. Typically, in 2nd class the seat serves as the lowest bunk, and the back of the seat is turned into a horizontal position and serves as the middle bunk. The sleeping car or sleeper (often ) is a railway passenger car (rail), passenger car that can accommodate all passengers in beds of one kind or another, for the purpose of sleeping. George Pullman was the American innovator of the sleeper car. The first such cars saw sporadic use on American and English railways in the 1830s; they could be configured for Coach (rail), coach seating during the day. The RA-2 Multiple Unit (Cyrillic:''РА2'') is a Russian diesel multiple unit (rail bus), type 2. The RA-2 is produced by Metrovagonmash and is designed for passenger transportation on non-electrified railway lines with high traffic, as well as suburban and inter-regional communication. They can be operated as a part of only two head end cars, and with one or two trailing cars. The head / end cars have one exit from the cab for high platforms, and one in the centre of the car high and low platforms. ŽS Series 412
The JŽ class 412/416 is an electric multiple unit built for Yugoslav Railways. The units are now used by Serbian Railways, Macedonian Railways and Montenegro Railways. History In the early 1980s Yugoslav Railways ordered several passenger electric multiple-unit trains for Belgrade, Novi Sad, Skopje and Titograd sections (ŽTP). At half the price offered by a domestic Yugoslav competitor, JŽ series 410 EMU built by Goša, the Soviet Union, Soviet ER31 (russian: ЭР31) built by Rīgas Vagonbūves Rūpnīca (RVR) was chosen. The first unit was introduced in traffic at September 25, 1980. EMU was designated as JŽ 412/416. From 1980 to 1990 and with the breakup of Yugoslavia, 50 EMU train sets were delivered from the Soviet Union to Yugoslav railways.
