Sports Association Of Professional Football (Peru)
The Asociación Deportiva de Fútbol Profesional ( en, Professional Football Sports Association), commonly known as the ADFP, is a Peruvian football governing body that organizes the Primera División. The association is made up of 9 current clubs. The first governing body to congregate football clubs in Peru was the Liga Peruana de Football (''Peruvian Football League'') which was founded on 12 May 1912. The league organized its first season in 1912 with 16 clubs from Lima divided into two divisions but was discontinued after the end of the 1921 season. The first division was subsequently organized by the Peruvian Football Federation in 1926 which was founded in 1922 and became a member of CONMEBOL in 1925. Starting in 1941, the organization of the Primera División was passed from the Peruvian Football Federation to the newly formed Asociación No Amateur (''Non-Amateur Association''). Atlético Chalaco
The club is the first soccer representative of the first port of Peru, Callao, which laid the foundations for future Chalacos clubs, going from being a school club to being a professional club, gaining recognition, prestige and trust among fans of the Callao, from Lima and Peru, since today there are many clubs with the name of Atlético Chalaco, but only one is the original and traditional. 1926 Peruvian Primera División
The 1926 Primera División was the 11th season of top-flight Peruvian football. A total of 11 teams competed in the league, with Sport Progreso successfully defending their national title won in 1921. This was the first season to be organized by the Peruvian Football Federation as the Liga Peruana de Football ceased operations in 1921. The Association FBC did not participate in the league because it had permission from the FPF to carry out a football tour to Central America. Many matches were not played; therefore many teams were relegated and for 1927 the Primera División was reduced to 8 clubs. 1921 Liga Peruana De Football
The 1921 Liga Peruana de Football was the tenth and last season to be organized by the Peruvian Football League. It encompassed a first division and a second division. A total of 11 teams competed in the first division and its champion was Sport Progreso. It was the last tournament run by the leadership of the Liga Peruana de Football, due to its lack of authority over the associated clubs. The formation of a new entity that controls sports activities, called the Asociación de Amateur, made up of dissident institutions from the Liga Peruana, produced a schism with an anarchic nature of disorder and confusion in the football organization. Sport Progreso was a Peruvian football club, located in the city of Lima. The club was founded with the name of club Sport Progreso and played in Peruvian Primera División from 1912 until 1933. The club won the national tournament in 1921 and 1926. In 1933, Sport Progreso was relegated and it was their last appearance in the Peruvian Primera División. Jorge Chávez (Callao)
Jorge Antonio Chávez Dartnell (January 13, 1887 – September 27, 1910), also known as Géo Chávez, was a Peruvian aviator. At a young age, he achieved fame for his aeronautical feats. He died in 1910 after a heavy wind broke the wings of his fragile airplane Bleriot XI, falling from a twenty meter height upon landing, after achieving the first air crossing of the Pennine Alps. Early life Jorge Chávez Dartnell was born in Paris, France to Peruvian parents Manuel Chávez Moreyra and María Rosa Dartnell y Guisse. He studied at the Violet School from where he graduated with an engineer's degree in 1908.
