SportsNight With James Bracey
''SportsNight with James Bracey'' was an Australian television sports news and commentary program previously broadcast 4 nights weekly on Sky News Australia, hosted by James Bracey. The program was broadcast from the Sky News centre in the Sydney suburb of Macquarie Park. The program covers the latest news in local and international sports, and discusses it with a rotating panel of commentators. On 7 April 2015 the program had an all female panel for the first time, with Rebecca Wilson, Melinda Gainsford-Taylor and Liz Ellis. The set featured pink lighting to celebrate. While a 30-minute edition simply titled ''SportsNight'' was airing on the remaining three nights, the show was expanded to one hour from 18 December 2015 from Fridays to Sunday, hosted by Luke Doherty. The program ended after 4 years on 15 December 2016, following Bracey's decision to leave Sky News. Foxtel is an Australian pay television company—operating in cable television, direct broadcast satellite television, and IPTV streaming services. Elizabeth Margaret Ellis, (born 17 January 1973) is a retired Australian netball player, a member of the national team from 1992 until 2007 and captain for the last four of those years. She is the most capped international player for Australian netball. Liz Ellis was inducted to the Victorian Honour Roll of Women in 2006. Early life and education Ellis was born in Windsor, New South Wales, on 17 January 1973. After attending Holy Family High School and finishing the last two years of secondary education at John Paul II Senior High School (now known as St Andrew's College), Ellis attended the Australian Institute of Sport on a netball scholarship. Melinda Gainsford-Taylor
Melinda Gainsford-Taylor (born 1 October 1971 in Narromine, New South Wales) is a retired Australian athlete, who specialised in sprint events. In 1995 Gainsford-Taylor won the World Indoor championship over 200 m. During her career she also won international medals at the World Championships and Commonwealth Games. She is the cousin of Australian Olympic backstroke swimmer Josh Watson who won silver in the Men's 4 × 100-metre medley relay at the Sydney Olympics in 2000. Junior career In 1989, she won the first of three consecutive Australian Junior 100 m titles, also winning the Junior 200 m championships in 1989 and 1991. Rebecca Louise Wilson (22 December 1961 – 7 October 2016) was an Australian sports journalist, radio and television broadcaster and personality, known for the comic television talk sports show ''The Fat'', in which she appeared regularly with host Tony Squires. Macquarie Park () is a suburb in the Northern Sydney region of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. James Bracey (sports Presenter)
James Bracey (born 17 September 1984) is an Australian television sports presenter. He currently presents the sport on ''Nine News Sydney'' from Sunday to Thursday, having succeeded Cameron Williams who left the network suddenly in March 2022 before being named Williams' permanent replacement in May 2022. Bracey began his television career as a sports reporter and presenter at Sky News Australia where he commenced working following his graduation from the University of Newcastle in 2005.
