''SportsCenter Philippines'' is the flagship newscast of One Sports, the sports division of TV5 Network. It aired on TV5 from December 17, 2017, to January 10, 2020. It is the local version of '' SportsCenter'' following TV5's partnership with global sports network ESPN after a few years ESPN in the Philippines was hiatus for 5 years after being replaced by Fox Sports Asia (SportsCenter Asia has been relaunched as Fox Sports Central Asia since 2013). Patricia Bermudez-Hizon
Patricia Bermudez-Hizon (born September 5, 1977) is a sportscaster and television host in the Philippines. She is the current head of One Sports last January 2016 replacing Chot Reyes. She is the first ever female basketball television and radio anchor in the country. She started as a courtside reporter for the PBA in 2002 with the NBN and was the only female basketball courtside analyst with ABC. She is also the only Filipino on the elite list of presenters for the London Speaker Bureau, the largest speaker bureau in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. After anchoring for Radyo5 PBA, she was eventually given the opportunity to anchor the Philippine Basketball League games in 2008-2009 - a first on Philippine Television history and eventually went on to anchor the PBA games. 2013–14 PBA Season
The 2013–14 PBA season was the 39th season of the Philippine Basketball Association. The season formally opened on November 17, 2013, and finished on July 9, 2014. The league continued to use the three-conference format, starting with the Philippine Cup, or the traditional All-Filipino Conference. The Commissioner's Cup and the Governors' Cup is the second and third conferences for this season. Due to the Philippines' hosting of the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship last August, the third conference of the previous season, the 2013 PBA Governors' Cup was rescheduled to start on August 13. Subsequently, the annual draft and the opening of the new season, which is usually held every last week of August and first week of October respectively since 2004, was moved to November. 2013 FIBA Asia Championship
The 2013 FIBA Asia Championship for Men was the intercontinental championship for basketball organized by FIBA Asia that served as the qualifying tournament for the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain. The tournament was held from August 1–11 in Metro Manila, Philippines. Beirut, Lebanon was supposed to host the tournament but the hosting rights was given to the Philippines citing the Syrian Civil War and security concerns in the Middle East in general. This was also the last Asian Championships that served as the qualifying round for the FIBA Basketball World Cup, as a qualifying window was used starting 2019. Aksyon TV () was a Philippine free-to-air television network. It was a joint venture of Nation Broadcasting Corporation and TV5 Network, Inc. (international operations is under its subsidiary Pilipinas Global Network Ltd.), both under PLDT media arm MediaQuest Holdings. Its programs were primarily produced by TV5's divisions News5 and ESPN5. AksyonTV formerly broadcasts terrestrially through DWNB-TV (UHF channel 41) in Metro Manila, as well as on UHF channel 29 in Cebu, Davao and other relay stations, and on a digital subchannel via channel 5.2 in Metro Manila. 2013 PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals
The 2013 PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals was the best-of-5 championship series of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) 2013 Commissioner's Cup, and the conclusion of the conference's playoffs. The Alaska Aces and the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel competed for the 108th championship contested by the league. Alaska defeated Ginebra by sweeping the series, 3-0, with Alaska winning its first championship (14th overall) after Tim Cone's tenure with the Aces and their final title in the league. This was the third time the two teams met in the finals, and served as a rematch of the 1997 edition of the Commissioner's Cup, when Barangay Ginebra, then known as the Gordon's Gin Boars defeated Alaska, four games to two. Robert Vincent Salazar Jaworski Sr. (; born March 8, 1946) is a Filipino former professional basketball player, head coach and politician who served as a Senator of the Philippines from 1998 to 2004. Broadcast City was the headquarters and broadcast complex of the television and radio networks owned by Roberto Benedicto, namely - Banahaw Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Radio Philippines Network (RPN) and Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation (IBC).
