Splendora
Splendora was an American all-female alternative rock band from New York City. Formed in 1993 by Janet Wygal (lead vocals, guitar), Tricia Wygal (lead vocals, bass), Delissa Santos (drums), Cindy Brolsma (cello), and Jennifer Richardson (violin), the band released one studio album, ''In the Grass'' (1995), before disbanding in 2002. The band is best known for performing "You're Standing on My Neck", which was featured as the opening theme to the MTV animated series ''Daria''. Splendora also performed "Turn the Sun Down" and "College Try" for the ''Daria'' television films ''Is It Fall Yet?'' and ''Is It College Yet?'', respectively. Daria
''Daria'' is an American adult animation, adult animated sitcom created by Glenn Eichler and Susie Lewis, Susie Lewis Lynn. The series ran from March 3, 1997, to January 21, 2002, on MTV. It focuses on the title character, Daria Morgendorffer, an intelligent, cynical high school student, voiced by Tracy Grandstaff. It is a Spin-off (media), spin-off of Mike Judge's earlier animated series, ''Beavis and Butt-Head'', in which Daria appeared as a recurring character. Is It College Yet?
''Is It College Yet?'' is a 2002 American animated comedy-drama television film written by Glenn Eichler and Peggy Nicoll, and directed by Karen Disher. The film was the second film-length installment of MTV's animated series ''Daria'', after 2000's ''Is it Fall Yet?,'' and served as the series finale, chronicling the end of high school as the characters prepare for college. ''Is It College Yet?'' was produced in lieu of an abbreviated, six-episode sixth season requested by MTV. Series creator Glenn Eichler planned to wrap the show with the fifth-season finale " Boxing Daria", believing that there was no more story to tell. The film was first broadcast by MTV on January 21, 2002, released on both VHS and DVD formats on August 27, 2002, and was included on the DVD release of ''Daria: The Complete Animated Series'' on May 11, 2010. The Individuals (New Jersey Band)
The Individuals were a Hoboken, New Jersey-based power pop band led by Glenn Morrow (guitar, vocals, sax, keyboards) and featuring Janet Wygal (bass, vocals, guitar, keyboards), Janet's brother Doug Wygal (drums, percussion), and Jon Light Klages (lead guitar, keyboards, vocals). They were an outgrowth of several jam sessions that also included at various times, Bernie Kugel (The Good, Mystic Eyes) and Dee Pop (Gun Club, Bush Tetras). The band played regularly at Maxwell's and were a central part of the early 1980s Hoboken music scene. Daria's Inferno
''Daria's Inferno'' is a 2000 PC video game developed by Hypnotix and published by Simon & Schuster Interactive. The game is based on the MTV animated show ''Daria''. Players control the character Daria Morgendorffer through the fictional town of Lawndale. Characters in the game are voiced by the same voice actors as on the TV show. The game is the only media ever to feature the TV series' entire theme song, "You're Standing on My Neck" by Splendora, only one verse of which is ever heard on the show. Gameplay The game uses Virtual camera system#Third person view games, third-person perspective and consists of five levels. Each level contains mazes to navigate as well as inventory-based puzzles. Susie Lewis is an American writer and producer who co-created the MTV animated series ''Daria''. Personal life Lewis attended Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and graduated from New York Institute of Technology in New York City.
