TT-Line Company Pty Ltd, better known by its trading name Spirit of Tasmania is a company which has been operating ferries from mainland Australia to Tasmania since July 1985. The company was separated from the Tasmanian Government's Department of Transport in 1993, becoming a government business enterprise wholly owned by the Government of Tasmania where it was then named Spirit of Tasmania in August 1993. HSC ''INCAT 046'' was a wave-piercing catamaran passenger-vehicle ferry. It operated under various marketing names, including ''Devil Cat'', ''The Cat'', ''The Lynx'', and lastly ''The T&T Express''. Vessel characteristics HSC ''INCAT 046'' was a vessel built by InCat Australia in Hobart, Tasmania, in 1997 as hull 046. Incat Tasmania is an Australian manufacturer of high-speed craft (HSC) catamaran ferries. Its greatest success has been with large, sea going passenger and vehicle ferries, but it has also built military transports and since 2015 it has built smaller river and bay ferries. Based in Derwent Park, Tasmania, Derwent Park, a suburb of Hobart, Tasmania, Australia, it was founded by Bob Clifford. The company builds vessels using aluminium construction, wave-piercing and water-jet technology. HSC Condor Rapide
HSC ''Incat 045'' is a fast ferry operated by Trasmapi. Launched in 1997, she was initially chartered out as a civilian ferry, then became the first large catamaran to enter military service when she was commissioned into the Royal Australian Navy as from 1999 to 2001. In 2002, the catamaran was sent to Europe on charter, operating with Italian company TRIS during that year, before being chartered by SpeedFerries for its Dover to Boulogne-sur-Mer service. Renamed HSC ''SpeedOne'', she operated on this route until she was impounded by French authorities in late 2008, as the company had failed to pay taxes. HMAS ''Jervis Bay'' (AKR 45) was a wave piercing catamaran that operated in the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). Built by Incat in Tasmania and launched in 1997 as ''Incat 045'', the ship was chartered to TT-Line as ''Tascat'' to supplement cross- Bass Strait services until the company acquired new ships. The catamaran remained laid up until 1999, when she was commissioned into the Royal Australian Navy as a troop and equipment transport, becoming the first large catamaran to enter naval service. ''Jervis Bay'' operated in support of the INTERFET peacekeeping taskforce until May 2001, when she was decommissioned and returned to the builder. Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven GmbH is a dockyard in Bremerhaven. It was founded in 1863 by the shipping company Norddeutscher Lloyd, first mainly used as a repair workshop for the company’s own merchant fleet. This new yard was established in exchange and addition to the former small Lloyd-workshop in Bremen which was already founded in 1857. In the 1970s, the shipyard became member of the Vulkan Group. As of 2016, the Lloyd facility is the last remaining major dockyard in Bremerhaven. It employs 500 workers and occupies 260,000 m². Ships with a draught as deep as 11.5 m can be accommodated. Trelleborg () is a town in Skåne County, Sweden, with 43,359 inhabitants as of December 31, 2015. Travemünde () is a borough of Lübeck, Germany, located at the mouth of the river Trave in Bay of Lübeck, Lübeck Bay. TT-Line GmbH is a shipping company based in Lübeck, Germany, which has been providing ferry service between Travemünde in Schleswig-Holstein and Trelleborg in southern Sweden since 1962. Since 1992, it has also operated a service from Rostock to Trelleborg (until 1997 marketed as TR-Line) and from Swinoujscie in Poland. As of 2007, TT-Line possesses six ferries.
