Spineshank was an American metal band from Los Angeles. The band has released four studio albums: '' Strictly Diesel'' (1998), ''The Height of Callousness'' (2000), ''Self-Destructive Pattern'' (2003), and ''Anger Denial Acceptance'' (2012). History Formation, Roadrunner Records years (1996–2003) Formed in February 1996, Spineshank was assembled from the remains of a previous musical endeavor called "Basic Enigma". That band included future Spineshank members in vocalist Jonny Santos, guitarist Mike Sarkisyan and drummer Tom Decker. Upon hearing Fear Factory's 1995 release '' Demanufacture'', a new bassist in Robert Garcia was recruited, and with a refined musical style, Spineshank was formed. They have cited Fear Factory as a major influence. The band soon befriended Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares, and after hearing their demo tape he offered to have them open a show for Fear Factory at a concert held at the Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles. The Height Of Callousness
''The Height of Callousness'' is the second album by the American industrial metal band Spineshank. It was released on October 10, 2000 by Roadrunner Records. The title is taken from a phrase in '' A Clockwork Orange''. Reception Allmusic gave the album 2.5 stars out of 5 but praised the band's energy, saying that "The Height of Callousness is a super-charged silver bullet of 11 aggressive tracks that will get your blood flowing as if you're engaged in a stock car race gone haywire." ''CMJ'' described the album as: "Machine-charged cybercore with computerized samples aligning the band with the likes of Fear Factory and Rammstein". The album has sold over 150,000 units. Silent Civilian
Silent Civilian is an American Heavy metal music, heavy metal band originating from Los Angeles, California. Following his departure from nu metal band Spineshank in 2004, frontman Jonny Santos felt he wanted to move in a different direction musically and start from scratch. Silent Civilian was thus formed and the band faced trouble from the start after experiencing several line-up changes and departing from their original record label Corporate Punishment Records. The band signed with Mediaskare Records and released their debut record, ''Rebirth of the Temple'', in 2006. Receiving generally positive reviews, the album has sold more than 25,000 copies since its release in the United States. Their line-up consists of Santos (vocals and guitar), Matt Bredemeier (guitar) and Robbie Young (bass) and Alex Morgan (drums) Silent Civilian released their second album, ''Ghost Stories (Silent Civilian album), Ghost Stories'', on in 2010. Kilgore (Smudge)
Kilgore is an American heavy metal band formed in Providence, Rhode Island in 1991. The band is named after the character Kilgore Trout in the Kurt Vonnegut classic ''Breakfast of Champions''. Through a number of band name and line-up changes, Kilgore released two albums, ''Blue Collar Solitude'' (1995) and ''A Search for Reason'' (1998). The band landed a slot on the 1998 Ozzfest. They followed with a 1998 national tour with Slayer and Fear Factory and a 1998 European tour with Fear Factory and Spineshank. Fear Factory
Fear Factory is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1989. Throughout the band's career, they have released ten full-length albums and have evolved through a succession of sounds, all in their main style of industrial metal. Over the years, Fear Factory has seen frequent changes in its lineup, with lead vocalist Burton C. Bell being the only consistent member for 31 years until his departure in 2020. Other than guitarist Dino Cazares, there are no original members left in its current lineup. The band went on hold in March 2002 following some internal disputes, but resumed activity a year later without founding member Cazares. Previous bassist Christian Olde Wolbers replaced him as the new guitarist, and bassist Byron Stroud joined the band. In April 2009, a new lineup was announced. Snot is an American nu metal band from Santa Barbara, California. Formed in 1995, the band released their only studio album '' Get Some'' with founding vocalist Lynn Strait in 1997 and disbanded after his death in 1998.
