''Spin This'' is a solo album by The Rembrandts' Danny Wilde, released by Elektra Records in 1998. The album is credited to "Danny Wilde + The Rembrandts." As a result, the album is still technically a full Rembrandts album, despite being released during the band's first split. Van Dyke Parks contributed arrangements to a couple of songs. The Rembrandts
The Rembrandts are an American alternative rock duo, formed by Danny Wilde and Phil Solem in 1989. They had previously worked together as members of Great Buildings in 1981. The Rembrandts are best known for the song " I'll Be There for You", which was used as the main theme song for the NBC sitcom ''Friends''. History Wilde was a member of 1970s cult recording act The Quick, and had released several mildly successful solo albums in the 1980s. Wilde and Solem had been in the power-pop quartet Great Buildings, a band that released one album for CBS in 1981 before dissolving. Jangle pop is a subgenre of pop rock or college rock that emphasizes jangly guitars and 1960s-style pop melodies. The term originated from Bob Dylan's song " Mr. Tambourine Man", whose 1965 rendition by the Byrds became considered one of the genre's representative works. Danny Wilde (birth name Daniel Thomas; born June 3, 1956) is an American musician. He is a founding member of The Rembrandts, with the ''Friends'' theme song " I'll Be There For You". Wilde was born in Houlton, Maine, but is known for breezy California power pop through his records released in the 1980s and 90s. In the 1980s he landed two minor rock radio hits with "Isn't It Enough" and "Time Runs Wild". The single "Time Runs Wild" was featured on the soundtrack to the film '' Dream a Little Dream''. The Matrix is an American-British songwriting and record production team, consisting of Lauren Christy, Scott Spock, and Graham Edwards. In 1999, the production team took on their first project, the Jackson Mendoza song "Venus or Mars"; it was intended to be a one-off project.
