Sperone Westwater
Sperone Westwater is a contemporary art gallery in the Bowery, in Manhattan, in New York City. The partners are Angela Westwater and Gian Enzo Sperone. The gallery was started on Greene Street in Soho in 1975;Alex Williams (December 1, 2010)The UnMuseum''New York Times''. the first show was of work by Carl André. Since 2010 it has occupied a building on Bowery purpose-built to designs by Foster + Partners. In 2008 the gallery inaugurated a second venue at Chasa dal Guvernatur in Sent, Switzerland, with an exhibition of Bruce Nauman. Richard Long (artist)
Sir Richard Julian Long, (born 2 June 1945) is an English sculptor and one of the best-known British land artists. Long is the only artist to have been short-listed four times for the Turner Prize. He was nominated in 1984, 1987 and 1988, and then won the award in 1989 for ''White Water Line''. He lives and works in Bristol, the city in which he was born. Long studied at Saint Martin's School of Art before going on to create work using various media including sculpture, photography and text. His work is on permanent display in Britain at the Tate and Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery as well as galleries in America, Switzerland and Australia. William Wegman (photographer)
William Wegman (born December 2, 1943) is an American artist best known for creating series of compositions involving dogs, primarily his own Weimaraners in various costumes and poses. Life and career Wegman originally intended to pursue a career as a painter. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 1965 and a Master of Fine Arts degree in painting from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign in 1967. Tom Sachs (born July 26, 1966) is an American contemporary artist who lives and works in New York City. Life and early career Sachs was born in New York City on July 26, 1966. He grew up in Westport, Connecticut, attending high school at Greens Farms Academy, followed by Bennington College in Vermont. Upon graduation, he studied architecture at London's Architectural Association School of Architecture before deciding to return to the States.
