''Special Occasion'' is the second studio album by American R&B singer Bobby V. It was released by Disturbing tha Peace and Def Jam Recordings on May 8, 2007, in the United States. The singer co-wrote over three quarters of the album, which also features songwriting and production from Tim & Bob, Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, Timbaland, Sean Garrett, Don Vito, Bryan-Michael Cox and Dre & Vidal. It also features guest appearances by Ludacris, Timbaland and Fabolous. The album was set to be released on December 12, 2006, but was delayed until May 8, 2007. ''Special Occasions'' first official single was the Rodney Jerkins-produced track " Turn the Page". The ballad features Valentino singing about trust and taking risks in a relationship. Bobby Marcel Wilson (born February 27, 1980), better known by his stage name Bobby V (also known as Bobby Valentino), is an American R&B singer. He was first a member of the R&B group Mista in 1994, before signing to rapper Ludacris through his label imprint, Disturbing tha Peace under Def Jam Recordings in 2005. Bobby V's first single as a solo artist, "Slow Down", released in February 2005, peaked at number 8 on ''Billboard''s Hot 100 chart. The single was certified gold by the RIAA and became the lead single for his eponymous debut album (2005)—which peaked at number 3 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and had a follow up single, " Tell Me" (featuring Lil Wayne). ''Blender'' was an American music magazine that billed itself as "the ultimate guide to music and more". It was also known for sometimes steamy pictorials of celebrities. Jerome Harmon (born September 25, 1968), better known as J-Roc, is an American songwriter and music producer from Fort Worth, Texas. He frequently collaborates with Timbaland. Lincoln Browder, (born October 12, 1964) better known by his stage name Link, is an American R&B singer from Dallas, Texas. Career Browder sang in gospel choirs as a youngster and in a group in high school. Darrell Delite Allamby recruited him to sing in the R&B group Protege. After writing the hit " My Body" for the R&B supergroup LSG, Link was offered his own recording contract with Relativity Records.
