Valeriy Kravchynskyi
Valeriy Kyrylovych Kravchynskyi ( uk, Валерій Кирилович Кравчинський; 12 December 1938 – 20 January 2001) was a Soviet and Ukrainian football defender. He spent most of his career with Desna Chernihiv the main club in Chernihiv. Career As a child, he played football on Leskovitsa, took part in the unofficial championships of Chernihiv among street teams. In 1953 he enrolled in the football section, whose coach was Alexander Norov. In 1958, he played for ATK Chernihiv and for Spartak Chernihiv, then he joyed to Avanhard Chernihiv where he played 31 matches. Desna Chernihiv In 1961, Avanhard Chernihiv changed their name to Desna Chernihiv and Kravchinsky was appointed vice captain and in 1964 as captain. In 1965, Desna reached the 1/8 finals of the Soviet Cup, defeating 6 opponents, including the A-class teams - Shinnik and Baku's Neftyanik.
