Space (French Band)
Space (occasionally Didier Marouani & Space), are a French music band active from 1977 through 1980 and returning with on-stage remake performances since 1982. Their work is associated with the short-lived space disco genre and is a precursor of electronica. History Instant success and breakup Space was founded in 1977 by Didier Marouani (also known as Ecama). The band consisted of Didier Marouani, arrangers Roland Romanelli and Jannick Top, and singer Madeline Bell. Marouani by that time had some fame as a solo pop singer, but soon focused on his band, whose name was suggested by the song “Magic Fly”, originally written in 1976 for a television program dedicated to astrology. Titanic (band)
Titanic was a rock band active from 1969 to 2014. Its members came from Norway and Britain. Career The group formed in Norway in 1969. Its members were Kenny Aas (organ & bass guitar), Kjell Asperud (percussion & vocal), John Lorck (drums), Janne Løseth (guitar & vocal) and Roy Robinson (lead singer) and, for a time, John Williamson. Janne Løseth was the band's primary songwriter and Roy Robinson its main lyricist. In October 1971, Titanic reached Number 5 in the UK Singles Chart, with their instrumental track, "Sultana" in the style of Santana. The band relocated to the south of France and released ''Macumba'' in 1973 with Helge Groslie on keyboards. It reached number one in Spain. UK Albums Chart
The Official Albums Chart is a list of albums ranked by physical and digital sales and (from March 2015) audio streaming in the United Kingdom. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on UKChartsPlus as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders. However, even though number 100 was classed as a hit album (as in the case of The Guinness Book of British Hit Albums) in the 1980s until January 1989, since the compilations were removed this definition was changed to Top 75 with follow-up books such as The Virgin Book of British Hit Albums book only including this data. Daniel Dumile ( ; July 13, 1971October 31, 2020), best known by his stage name MF Doom or simply Doom (both stylized in all caps), was a British-American rapper and record producer. Noted for his intricate wordplay, signature metal mask, and "supervillain" stage persona, Dumile became a major figure of underground hip hop and alternative hip hop in the 2000s. De La Soul () is an American hip hop trio formed in 1988 in the Amityville area of Long Island, New York. Minimalistix was a progressive trance music project from Belgium, consisting of members Dave Lambrechts, Janus De Decker, Johan Casters, Peter Bellaert and Steve Sidewinder (Andy Vandierendonck) Poison Ivy (Els Mortelmans) voice and performance on stage and existing from 2000 to 2010. The group was started by Bellaert (alias Brian Koner) who purchased his first synthesizer at the age of eighteen, and gained his first recording contract in 1991, when he signed to Snowball Records. The group first gained mainstream recognition with the white label single, "Struggle for Pleasure" (a remix of the 1983 Wim Mertens track) in Belgium dance clubs. A remix (or reorchestration) is a piece of media which has been altered or contorted from its original state by adding, removing, or changing pieces of the item. A song, piece of artwork, book, video, poem, or photograph can all be remixes. The only characteristic of a remix is that it appropriates and changes other materials to create something new.
