Soverato
Soverato ( Calabrian: ) is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Catanzaro in the Calabria region of Southern Italy. Soverato is the wealthiest town per capita in Calabria, and it has recently been experiencing a spike in tourism since 2015. Recent projects have been underway to accommodate these new tourists including the addition of the Villa Comunale, the renovation of Lungomare Europa and the ongoing reconfiguration of the main shopping road in town, Corso Umberto I, which is scheduled to be complete in late 2019. Geography Soverato sits on the Ionian Sea, in the Gulf of Squillace. Nearby there is a string of villages along the white beaches of the gulf like Montepaone, Davoli and Isca Marina. The Giardino Botanico Santicelli botanic gardens were built on a former waste site in 1980. The town is bordered by Montepaone, Petrizzi and Satriano. Guido Daniele
Guido Daniele (born 1950) is a hyperrealist artist who lives and works in Milan, Italy. Early years and education Daniele was born in Soverato, Calabria in Italy. In 1972, he graduated from Brera School of Arts, majoring in sculpture and then attended the Tankas school in Dharamsala, India until 1974. Career Daniele has worked as a hyper-realistic illustrator, co-operating with editing and advertising companies, innovating with airbrush and testing out various painting techniques. He has painted backcloths up to 400 square meters in size. He has also painted ''trompe-l'œil'' images for private houses and public buildings. In 1990, he developed a body painting technique, and his work has been used in advertising images and commercials, as well as fashion events and exhibitions. Giardino Botanico Santicelli
The Giardino Botanico Santicelli is a botanical garden located in Soverato, Province of Catanzaro, Calabria, Italy. It is open most days of the week in the warmer months.
