Southern Taiwan Science Park
The Southern Taiwan Science Park (STSP; ) is a science park established by the government of Taiwan. It consists of Tainan Science Park and Kaohsiung Science Park , covering and , respectively. Overview The science park was first proposed at an Executive Yuan meeting on 1 July 1993, and the Southern Taiwan Science Park Development Plan was approved in May 1995. By 2000, 80% of the industrial land had been leased out. Thus, in May 2000 the Intellectual Science Park developed by the Taiwan Sugar Corporation (in Lujhu) was designated as the site of Luzhu Science Park. It was renamed to Kaohsiung Science Park and approved on 27 July 2004. In 2009, there were a total of 130 companies based in the park and sales totaled NT$461 billion. Tainan (), officially Tainan City, is a Special municipality (Taiwan), special municipality in southern Taiwan facing the Taiwan Strait on its western coast. Taoyuan Aerotropolis () is a large urban planning development at the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. The 4,500 hectare development, centered around the existing airport, will include a districts for transportation, logistics, industry, and residential development, and has been called "one of Taiwan’s largest national infrastructure projects ever." A Megasite or Mega-Site is a land development by private developers, universities, or governments to promote business clusters. These organizations develop the land so that it is "shovel ready" for big business, by improving the infrastructure (roads, utilities, and landscape). National Nanke International Experimental High School (NNKIEH; ), situated in the Southern Taiwan Science Park (STSP), is a public, co-educational school serving Grades 1 -12. Central Taiwan Science Park
The Central Taiwan Science Park (CTSP; ) is an industrial park in Taiwan. The Central Taiwan Science Park opened in 2003. Around 53,000 people work in the park in 2022, which spans an area of 1,486 hectares. In 2021, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) accounted for 42.27% of the park's overall revenue. Hsinchu Science Park
The Hsinchu Science Park (HSP; ) is an industrial park established by the government of Taiwan on 15 December 1980. It straddles Hsinchu City and Hsinchu County in Taiwan. History The idea of the establishment of the Hsinchu Science Park was first proposed by Shu Shien-Siu, the former President of National Tsing Hua University and Minister of Science and Technology. Erlin Township () is an urban township in Changhua County, Taiwan. Geography With an area of 92.8578 square kilometers, it is the largest township in Changhua County.
