''Southern Storm'' is the seventh studio album by Brazilian death metal band Krisiun. The album was recorded at Stage One Studios in Borgentreich, Germany, with producer Andy Classen. It was released in Europe on 21 July 2008, and in the United States on 5 August 2008, through Century Media Records. Krisiun is a Brazilian death metal band, founded by brothers Alex Camargo (bass, vocals) (Born March 11, 1972), Moyses Kolesne (guitars) (Born August 11, 1973) and Max Kolesne (drums) (Born June 12, 1974). Since its formation in 1990, the group recorded two demos, ''Evil Age'' in 1991 and ''Curse of the Evil One'' in 1992, and self-released an extended play (EP) titled ''Unmerciful Order'' in 1993. After signing with Dynamo Records (a Brazilian label), Krisiun released the debut full-length ''Black Force Domain'' in 1995, followed by ''Apocalyptic Revelation'', in 1998. They signed with major label Century Media in 1999, releasing a further nine studio albums. Refuse/Resist
''Refuse/Resist'' is Sepultura's fourth single, released in 1993. The title song, also included as a single off the album ''Chaos A.D.'', is one of the band's best-known songs and remains a concert staple to this day. A music video was filmed for the single which features the band playing live at a festival intercut with footage of rioting and general unrest. This video can be found on the VHS ''Third World Chaos'', which was later released on DVD as part of the ''Chaos'' DVD. The intro to the song is the heartbeat of Max Cavalera's then-unborn first son Zyon. This song is also notable for having a 20-second growl at the end. "Refuse/Resist" also appears in live form on the band's live releases ''Under a Pale Grey Sky'' and '' Live in São Paulo''. Background Max Cavalera claims to have been inspired for the song by seeing the phrase "Protest and survive/Refuse and resist" on a man's leather jacket on the New York subway.
