History Early history For many millennia, the Great Plains of North America was inhabited by nomadic Native Americans. Mentor is an unincorporated community in Saline County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of the community and nearby areas was 101. The Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) is the organization which oversees interscholastic competition in the U.S. state of Kansas at the high school, high-school level. It oversees both athletic and non-athletic competition, and sponsors championships in several sports and activities. History The Kansas State High School Activities Association was formed in 1937 and incorporated in 1956. As early as 1910, Kansas schools organized the statewide Debate League and Athletic Association governed by high school principals.
