The Korean Sport & Olympic Committee (, Abbr.: KOC) is the National Olympic Committee of Republic of Korea (competing as Korea) for the Olympic Games movement and inbound sports issue. The women's team archery event was one of five archery events held at the 2020 Summer Olympics. It was held at Yumenoshima Park, with the ranking round taking place on 23 July and match play on 25 July. South Korea remained undefeated in the Women's team Archery by winning a 9th consecutive gold medal. Shin Jea-hwan (; born March 3, 1998) is a South Korean artistic gymnast. He is the 2020 Summer Olympic champion on vault. He is a two-time World Cup champion on vault ( 2020 Melbourne, 2020 Baku). Personal life Shin was born on March 3, 1998, in Seoul. He attended the Korea National Sport University and graduated in 2020. Shin relocated to Jecheon in 2021. He looks up to teammate Yang Hak-seon. Career Shin made his senior international debut at the 2019 Zhaoqing World Cup, where he won silver on vault and finished fourth on floor. There were 64 competitors from 40 nations, with each nation having either 1 or 3 archers. The men's team sabre event at the 2020 Summer Olympics took place on 28 July 2021 at the Makuhari Messe, with 27 fencers (9 teams of 3) from 9 nations competing. The fencing competitions at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo featured 12 events, the first time that both team and individual events have been held in all three weapons for both men and women. Qualification There were 200 quota spots for fencing at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Qualification were primarily based on the Fédération Internationale d'Escrime (FIE) Official Ranking as of 4 April 2020, with further individual places available at 4 zonal qualifying tournaments. Gu Bon-gil ( or ; born 27 April 1989) is a South Korean right-handed sabre fencer. Gu is an eight-time team Asian champion, seven-time individual Asian champion, and three-time team world champion. A three-time Olympian, Gu is a two-time team Olympic champion. Early life A native of Daegu, Gu had played football all through elementary and middle school and went on to Osung High School, which was the alma mater of his 2012 Olympics teammate Oh Eun-seok. The fencing coach at Osung High School had already noticed him in middle school and persuaded him to switch sports. He majored in physical education at Dong-Eui University, then one of the few universities which had a fencing team. Oh Sang-uk (born 30 September 1996) is a South Korean right-handed sabre fencer. Oh is a four-time team Asian champion, 2019 individual Asian champion, three-time team world champion, and 2019 individual world champion. Competing at his first Summer Olympic Games, Oh was a member of the South Korean team that won gold in team men's sabre at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Early life Oh followed his older brother into fencing and joined his middle school's fencing team.
