The Queensland Rugby Football League QRL Constitution, 2009: 3 (QRL QRL Constitution, 2009: 2) is the governing body for rugby league in Queensland. It is a member of the Australian Rugby League Commission (ARL Commission) and selects the members of the Queensland rugby league team. The Queensland Cup, currently known as the Hostplus Cup for sponsorship reasons, is the highest-level regional rugby league football competition in Queensland, Australia. The Burleigh Bears are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in Gold Coast, Australia. They compete in Queensland's top rugby league competition, the Queensland Cup. Easts Tigers
The Brisbane Tigers are a rugby league club based at Langlands Park, in the suburb of Coorparoo in Brisbane, Australia. Since 1996, they have competed in the Queensland Cup, having competed in the Brisbane Rugby League from 1934 to 1997, where they won eight premierships. Formed as Coorparoo in 1917, the club became the Eastern Suburbs Tigers in 1933, commonly referred to as Easts Tigers or Easts. Hills District Panthers
The Hills District Panthers is a defunct rugby league club from Brisbane, Australia. The Panthers played only one year, 2005, in the Mixwell Cup and Mixwell Colts Challenge. They were formed by the Arana Hills Panthers, a satellite club of the Wests Panthers The Western Suburbs Panthers, often simply referred to as Wests for short, are a rugby league club based in the western suburbs of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Ipswich Jets
The Ipswich Jets are an Australian rugby league football club based in Ipswich, Queensland. Their name comes from nearby RAAF Base Amberley, one of the largest airbases in Australia. The Northern Suburbs Devils, or North Brisbane Devils, or often simply referred to as Norths for short, are a rugby league club representing the northern suburbs of Brisbane, Australia. The Redcliffe Dolphins are a semi-professional rugby league club based in Redcliffe, Queensland, Redcliffe, Queensland, Australia. Founded in 1947, they were accepted into the Brisbane Rugby League premiership (rugby league competition), Brisbane Rugby League (BRL) premiership competition in 1960, and since 1996 have played in the Queensland Cup. The Redcliffe Dolphins thrived in the BRL. Runaway Bay Seagulls
The Runaway Bay Seagulls is a rugby league club based on the northern end of the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. They play out of Bycroft Oval and their colours are Navy Blue, Red & White. The Seagulls' first season in the Gold Coast Rugby League competition was in 1979 but did not win their first 1st grade title until 1997 when they defeated Cudgen 18–17 in the Gold Coast -Group 18 competition. They won again in 2000 by easily accounting for Burleigh 32–0. The Souths Logan Magpies, more commonly referred to by their former names Southern Suburbs Magpies, or South Brisbane Magpies, or often simply referred to as Souths, are a rugby league football club based in the southern suburbs of Brisbane, Australia. Tugun Seahawks
The Tugun Seahawks are a rugby league club based in the Gold Coast suburb of Tugun. Their home ground (Betty Diamond Complex) is adjacent to Gold Coast Airport and their colours are Blue & White. The Seahawks' first season in the Gold Coast Rugby League competition was in 1978 and they made the 1st grade grand final in their inaugural season but lost the game to Nerang Roosters 26-5. They tasted their first 1st grade title in 1985 when Tugun accounted for Beaudesert 31-10. It took another 19 years for the Seahawks claim a second 1st grade title. After finishing runners up in both 2002 & 2003, Tugun enjoyed success in 2004 by downing Tweed Heads 39-10 in the Gold Coast -Group 18 Grand Final. The Western Suburbs Panthers, often simply referred to as Wests for short, are a rugby league club based in the western suburbs of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
