Soul Crusaders was a Japanese pop and soul group, formed in 2000 and disbanded in 2002 under Giza Studio label. Biography In October 2000, they've made major debut with the single Safety Love which became their smash hit, ranked #30 in Oricon Weekly charts. The lyricist from Garnet Crow, Azuki Nana and composer Aika Ohno were involved with the music production of single. With this song they've made their first TV appearance in Japanese music program ''Hey! Hey! Hey! Music Champ''. This song was included in the compilation album ''Giza Studio Masterpiece Blend 2001''. In 2001 they've released two singles "Lonesome Tonight" and "Baby My Sunshine". With their second single they've made their final TV appearance on same music program as in October 2000. In October 2001 after year of the debut they've released their first and only studio album ''Flavor of Life "Flavor of Life" is Hikaru Utada's 18th Japanese single (25th single overall). Giza Studio
is a Japanese record label. The Giza Studio started as an indie label in the late 1990s under the name Garage Indies Zapping Association, but soon Being Inc. bought it as their sister label company. Giza Studio is located in Osaka, Japan and has been producing successful artists such as Mai Kuraki, Garnet Crow, Rina Aiuchi, etc. since their commercial service on September 1, 1998. Along with other Being Group's sister labels (Zain Records, Rooms Records, B-Gram Records, BMFC, Vermillion Records and Northern Music), the studio's main task is to create music productivity by hiring talented artists, composers and engineers. The label's creative design (such as CD-jacket, photography, cinematography) is handled by Mod's House, while J-Disc is in charge of all the distribution and promotion of the sales. Azuki Nana
(born July 26, 1974) is a Japanese musical lyricist and keyboardist under Giza Studio label. She is a former member of the Japanese pop band Garnet Crow, primarily as the lead songwriter and keyboardist. Biography Since she was 4, and until she was 19, she took flute and piano lessons. After graduating from college in 1999, she began showing off her talents in a number of auditions. Her earlier works were associated with Maki Ohguro, Deen, Field of View, WAG and Wands. After creating the band Garnet Crow in 1999 as a indie band and in 2000 as a major band, she has been continuing providing work to a number of Giza Studio artists as Takaoka Ai, Shiori Takei, Hayami Kishimoto and Sayuri Iwata. Garnet Crow
Garnet Crow (stylized as GARNET CROW) was a Japanese pop/rock band formed in 1999 and associated with the Giza Studio record label. Members include Yuri Nakamura, Hitoshi Okamoto, Nana Azuki, and Hirohito Furui, with Nakamura leading on vocals. Music produced by Garnet Crow has its roots in the neo acoustic genre, and representative works include "Flying", "Yume Mita Ato De", and "Spiral". Despite prolific early singles, the band neither performed live nor appeared on TV prior to 2002. The mixed composition of Garnet Crow and Nakamura's deep vocals set the group apart from its contemporaries. ''Hey! Hey! Hey! Music Champ'' was a Japanese music variety show on Fuji Television hosted by the comedy duo Downtown, which consists of Hitoshi Matsumoto and Masatoshi Hamada.
