Sorsa IV Cabinet
Sorsa's fourth cabinet was the 63rd government of Republic of Finland, Finland, which existed for 1 456 days, from 6 May 1983 to 30 April 1987. The government’s Prime Minister of Finland, Prime Minister was Kalevi Sorsa. It was a majority government based on the ”red-soil government” model (Finnish language, Finnish: ''punamultahallitus''), as it was a coalition formed by the Social Democratic Party of Finland, Social Democrats, the Centre Party (Finland), Centre Party, the Swedish People's Party of Finland, Swedish People’s Party, and the Finnish Rural Party, Rural Party. Matti Ahde
Matti Allan Ahde (23 December 1945 – 20 December 2019) was a Finnish politician from the Social Democratic Party. Ahde was born in Oulu. He was a member of the parliament from 1970 to 1990, when he left to become CEO of the state monopoly Veikkaus. Ahde held minister posts in Sorsa's cabinets 1982–1987 and was elected Speaker of the Parliament in 1987. He was replaced as the speaker by Kalevi Sorsa in 1989 when Sorsa stepped down from Holkeri's cabinet to make the position available for party chairman Pertti Paasio. Ahde quit as CEO of Veikkaus in 2001 and was re-elected to the parliament in 2003. Vappu Taipale
Vappu Taipale ( Puustinen; born 1 May 1940) is a Finnish retired politician and physician. Medical career In 1966, Taipale graduated with a licentiate's degree in medicine and qualified to practise medicine. In 1980, she obtained her doctorate in the field of psychiatry from the University of Helsinki. She worked as a psychiatrist in various roles at the Helsinki University Central Hospital throughout the 1970s. She has also held the positions of Docent (Associate Professor) at the universities of Kuopio (now the University of Eastern Finland) and Tampere, specialising in child and adolescent psychiatry. In 1991, Taipale was awarded the title of Professor, and in 1998 she received an honorary doctorate in public administration (''Hallintotieteiden kunniatohtori'') from the University of Vaasa. Seppo Lindblom
Seppo Olavi Lindblom (born 9 August 1935, Helsinki) is a Finnish banker and politician from the Social Democratic Party. He is a son of trade unionist Olavi Lindblom.
