Soroi Eoe
Soroi Eoe (born 24 December 1954) is a Papua New Guinea politician. He has been a Member of the Papua New Guinea National Parliament of Papua New Guinea, National Parliament since 2017, representing Kikori District, Kikori Open. On 7 June 2019, he was appointed Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade and held the position for five months, and later returned to the same position on December 20, 2020. Early life Eoe completed his primary education at Apehava Private School, Menyama Lutheran School, and Lablab Private School. He completed his secondary education at Bumayong Lutheran High School. In 1978, he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Papua New Guinea. Prior to being elected to the National Parliament, he was a subsistence farmer. People's National Congress (Papua New Guinea)
The People's National Congress is a political party in Papua New Guinea. Its former leader Bill Skate served as Prime Minister from 1997 to 1999 and as speaker of Parliament from 2002 to 2004. Skate died in 2006 and the party was led by Peter O'Neill until 2022. PNC originated from the National Capital District where former leader (late Bill Skate) was the Governor of NCD and the Parliamentary Member. Bumayong is an outer suburb of Lae in the Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea. Location Bumayong is located 12 km North of Lae on Independence Drive up the road from the University of Technology on the Independence Drive loop. APEC Papua New Guinea 2018 was the year-long hosting of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings in Papua New Guinea. It was the first time Papua New Guinea hosted the APEC meetings. Australia provided a quarter to a third of the cost to host the meetings and also helped with logistics and security (G4S). Three cruise ships were chartered through an Australian company to cater to the some 10,000 delegates and guests. Many of the attendees and delegations had previously attended the Thirteenth East Asia Summit, 2018 East Asia Summit held from 11 to 15 November in Singapore, hosted by the Chairperson Lee Hsien Loong, the Prime Minister of Singapore. PNG National Party
The Papua New Guinea National Party is a political party in Papua New Guinea. It was formed in September 1969 by Thomas Kavali, Sabumei Kofikai and Siwi Kurondo when the three MPs broke away from the Compass Party. It was formally launched on 14 November 1969. (Kofikai later rejoined the Compass Party). Paul Pora and later Iambakey Okuk were also prominent members. At the 2002 election, the party won 3 of 109 seats. The party won 1 out of 109 seats in the 2007 General Elections. It was led into the 2012 election by Simon Sanangke from outside parliament; however, the party won no seats.
