Sopot Hit Festival
Sopot Hit Festival - is an international song contest, bringing contestants and guests who are stars with world recognition. It has been transmitted annually by the Polish Television in the coastal resort of Sopot, Poland. Together with National Festival of Polish Song in Opole and Sopot Festival it the biggest Polish music festival. TVP 2 (TVP Dwa, ''Program II Telewizji Polskiej'', ''"Dwójka"'') is a Polish public mainstream TV channel operated by TVP. Launched in October 1970, its varied line-up contains a variety of programming (documentary, history, talk-shows, game-shows) although it focuses on entertainment: stand up comedy, comic shows, cabaret, and themed talk shows (for example on travel or foreign cultures). History On October 2, 1970, when the second program of Telewizja Polska was broadcast, the chairman of the Radio Committee, Włodzimierz Sokorski, announced during a ceremonial speech that the launch of the new program was an expression of "concern for the nation's education and culture". Basic Element (music Group)
Basic Element is a Swedish Eurodance hip-hop group formed in 1992. The group returned in 2005 and is still releasing new material. From Malmö in Sweden, the group originally consisted of rapper/singer Peter Thelenius (Petrus), and keyboardist Cesar Zamini, accordion and vocalist Zetma Prenbo. Later vocalists were Saunet Sparell, Marie Fredriksson (not to be confused with the Roxette singer Marie Fredriksson). Currently, the band is the original member and founder Peter Thelenius, along with his wife Linda Thelenius and Jonas Wesslander. History Peter Thelenius and Cesar Zamini began the group in 1992, searched for a singer through the employment office and found Zetma. In 1993, they made a record deal with EMI Records, thus releasing their first single "Move Me". In 1994, "Move Me" was followed up by hits like " The Promise Man", reaching number 1 in the Swedish charts. In 1995, Zetma left the band (because of her pregnancy) and Saunet Sparell replaced her. Honeyhoney
Honeyhoney (stylized as honeyhoney) is an Americana group based in Los Angeles, California, United States. History The band was formed in 2006 by musician Benjamin Jaffe and musician/model/actress Suzanne Santo. The two met at a costume party and signed a record deal a year later. They originally performed under the name Zanzibar Lewis and were under that name when they signed with the now-defunct Ironworks record label. Their debut album, '' First Rodeo'', was released by Ironworks on November 4. Ironworks co-owner Kiefer Sutherland directed and starred in the group's music video for their song "Little Toy Gun". Honeyhoney toured with Lifehouse, another Ironworks band, at the start of their career. The band released their second studio album, ''Billy Jack'', on Oct 24, 2011 under their own honeyhoney Records/Lost Highway label. Nexx
Nexx (stylised as NEXX) is a Swedish pop music, pop/dance music, dance band from Stockholm. Formed in 2004/2005, band consists of three members: Johanna "Jo" Eriksson, Robert Skowronski and Sebastian Zelle. They are most known for song "Synchronize Lips", which reached number 2 in the Romanian Top 100. History The band owes its starts to Supernatural (group), Supernatural, a band formed in 2002 to take part in the second season of the Swedish music competition series ''Popstars'' broadcast on Kanal 5 (Sweden), Kanal 5. Supernatural included both Robert Skowronski and Sebastian Zelle in addition to Mathilda Carmbrant, Sandra Leto, Linda Eriksson. Both Skowronski and Zelle had passed the auditions to be included. Supernatural went on to win season 2 of ''Pop Star'' and went on tour in 2002 and 2003. The band released the album ''Dreamcatcher'' that topped Sverigetopplistan, the Swedish Albums Chart.
