Sophie Teboul
Sophie Teboul (born 6 January 1976) is a French classical pianist. Training Born in Nice (Alpes-Maritimes), Teboul began studying piano at the Conservatory of Nice and then at the age of 14 joined the conservatoire de Paris in Jacques Rouvier's class for piano and Christian Ivaldi's one for chamber music. She obtained a first prize in piano and two first prizes in chamber music as well as a national diploma in higher music studies. There, she pursued a development cycle and worked with Dmitri Bashkirov, Christian Zacharias and Maria Curcio. She won the Radio France competition at the age of 14, as well as the international piano competitions of Vercelli (Italy) and Alexandro Casagrande at Terni (Italy). Jean-Jacques Kantorow (born 3 October 1945) is a French violinist and conductor. His son is the pianist Alexandre Kantorow. Biography Kantorow was born in Cannes, France, into a family of Russian-Jewish origin. From the age of 13 he studied at the Paris Conservatoire with René Benedetti, and in 1960 won the first violin prize. In the 1960s he won ten major international prizes, including first prizes in the Carl Flesch Competition (London), the (Genoa) Paganini Competition, and the Geneva International Competition. Juan José Mosalini (29 November 1943 – 27 May 2022) was an Argentinian bandoneon player. He specialized in tango nuevo and resided in France. Biography Background Juan José was born into a family of artisans who were passionate about music. Alain Marie Juppé (; born 15 August 1945) is a French politician. A member of The Republicans, he was Prime Minister of France from 1995 to 1997 under President Jacques Chirac, during which period he faced major strikes that paralysed the country and became very unpopular. Marielle Nordmann (born 24 January 1941 in Montpellier) is a French classical harpist. Biography Marielle Nordmann was a pupil of Lily Laskine at the Conservatoire de Paris where she won a first prize in 1958. Hans Werner Henze
Hans Werner Henze (1 July 1926 – 27 October 2012) was a German composer. His large oeuvre of works is extremely varied in style, having been influenced by serialism, atonality, Stravinsky, Italian music, Arabic music and jazz, as well as traditional schools of German composition. In particular, his stage works reflect "his consistent cultivation of music for the theatre throughout his life". Henze was also known for his political convictions. He left Germany for Italy in 1953 because of a perceived intolerance towards his leftist politics and homosexuality.
