Mauro Pawlowski
Mauro Antonio Pawlowski (born 24 April 1971) is one of the key figures in the Belgian contemporary music scene. He was born in Koersel and is of Italian and Polish descent. He started his career as frontman of Evil Superstars in 1992. This group was, along with dEUS, part of the first wave of the Belgian music boom in the 90s. He split the band in 1998 and has since then played in numerous bands, including Mitsoobishy Jacson, Kiss my Jazz, Monguito and Shadowgraphic City, The Love Substitutes, Othin Spake, Club Moral, Archetypes of the Multisabanas, I Hate Camera, Mauro Pawlowski & the Grooms, Hitsville Drunks, Stahlmus Delegation and dEUS. Beside these projects, Mauro has released solo work under various aliasses: Mauro A. Pawlowski, Somnabula, while fronting a group called Gruppo di Pawlowski (2007 to date). PIAS Recordings (formerly Play It Again Sam) is a Belgian record label founded in 1983 by Kenny Gates and Michel Lambot. Play It Again Sam expanded along with other European independent labels in the early 1980s. David Stuart Sardy (born 1967), more commonly known as D. Sardy, is an American composer, musician, songwriter, and multiple Grammy winning record producer. He came to prominence as the leader of 1990s noise rock band Barkmarket before turning mostly to production work, often with alternative rock, hard rock, electronic related genres, and then to scoring films. Simon Lenski is a cello player from Antwerp, Belgium. His main activity lies within the band DAAU which he co-founded in 1992. As a cello player, he is a highly sought guest musician for other artists and music groups, often together with his brother Buni Lenski. In 2004 he set up a collaboration with Swiss avant-garde cello player Bo Wiget. Together they released an album ''Die Vögelein schweigen im Walde''. In 2008 Simon Lenski composed the soundtrack for the movie Left Bank Linkeroever. Simon Lenski composed the music for several theater plays.
