Edward "Son" Barry (8 March 1877 – 31 December 1959) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Essendon Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Family The son of John Barry (1843-1908), and Mary Ann Barry (1850-1897), née McLaughlin, Edward Barry was born on 8 March 1877. He married Minnie Selina Young (1878-1945) in 1898. Cricket Barry was a well-established cricketer; and, according to the sporting journalist, former Fitzroy footballer, former Essendon football coach, and former Australian Test cricketer, Jack Worrall, writing in 1936, a significant historical error needed to be corrected: ::"The ecentdeath of B.J.T. Jim Anderson (17 November 1869 – 13 September 1947) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Essendon Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Family The son of John Stewart Anderson (1846-1918), and Rebecca Irene Anderson (1835-1915), née Oswald, née Tyrer, James Anderson was born at Sandford, near Casterton, Victoria on 17 November 1869. Edward Hore Kinnear (27 October 1874 – 3 March 1965) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Essendon Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL). George Hastings (footballer)
George Albert Hastings (13 January 1877 – 29 January 1956) was an Australian rules footballer who played for Essendon Football Club in the early years of the Victorian Football League (VFL). Hastings usually played on the wing but was also a centreman at times. A member of Essendon's inaugural premiership team in 1897 and again in 1901, Hastings also played in losing Grand Final sides in 1898 and 1902.
