Solna Vikings
Solna Vikings was a Swedish professional basketball club with a men's team and a women's team. Both played in their respective top leagues: the women in the Damligan, and the men in the Swedish Basketball League. History The Solna Vikings was founded on 27 April 1999, when Solna IF announced that it would not continue playing. Solna Vikings Men won the Swedish men's national championship in 2003, and the women won the national championship in 2002, 2004 and 2006. On 6 July 2015 it was announced that the men's team was leaving the Swedish Basketball League because of economic problems. In June 2016, the club merged with AIK Basket. Solna Municipality
Solna Municipality ( sv, Solna kommun or , ) is a municipality in Stockholm County in Sweden, located just north of Stockholm City Centre. Its seat is located in the town of Solna, which is a part of the Stockholm urban area. Solna is one of the richest municipalities in Sweden. The municipality is a part of Metropolitan Stockholm. Martin Borg (born 21 February 1977) is a Swedish former professional basketball player who played as a point guard. Best remembered for his time with the Solna Vikings, he was considered a three-point specialist and helped the team win the 2002–03 Swedish Basketball League. Charmin Smith
Charmin Smith (born May 2, 1975) is an American basketball coach and former player who is the head coach of the California Golden Bears women's team. Early life and collegiate career Charmin Smith was born in St. Louis on May 2, 1975. Her brother, Charles, was her role model for basketball when she was growing up. Upon graduating from Ladue Horton Watkins High School in St. Louis in 1993, Smith attended Stanford University, where she played four years for the Cardinal. A four-year letter winner, Smith helped Stanford win three consecutive Pac-10 championships and make three consecutive Final Four appearances in 1995, 1996, and 1997. A'Quonesia Krashun Franklin (born September 29, 1985), also known as Aqua, is an American basketball coach and former player. She played two seasons in the WNBA. She was a three-year captain of the Texas A&M team from the 2005–06 to 2007–08 seasons. She received All-America honorable mention honors from the Associated Press two times, and has also received all-Big 12 honors. Cecilia Helena Ferm (born 9 October 1975) is a Swedish deaf female basketball player. She has represented both national and deaf basketball teams. Ferm has participated at the Deaflympics on 5 occasions since making her debut in the 1993 Summer Deaflympics. She was the key member of the Swedish deaf basketball team that won silver medals at the 1997, 2001 and 2005 Deaflympic events. In her last Deaflympic event, she was able to claim the gold medal for Sweden in the basketball for the first time in Deaflympic history after a stunning victory over favourites USA and it ended the gold medal jinx for Sweden. Alexander Lindqvist (born 12 February 1991) is a Swedish basketball player and a member of the Swedish national team. He won the Swedish championship in 2013 and 2019 as a member of the Södertälje Kings. Playing career In October 2019, Lindqvist signed with LEB Oro club BTTB Mallorca-Palma.
