Sole Dxb
Sole DXB is an annual footwear, music, art, and lifestyle festival that takes place in the Dubai Design District in Dubai, UAE. The festival was inaugurated in 2011, and its most recent iteration took place from December 7 to 9, 2017. Brands like Nike, Adidas, Puma, Reebok, and others have exhibited at the festival. Speakers and performers have also included Hiroshi Fujiwara, Pusha T, Mobb Deep, Skepta, Hamdan Al Abri, and numerous others. History Sole DXB was founded in 2010 by Hussain Moloobhoy, Joshua Cox, Kris Balerite, and Rajat Malhotra. The first Sole DXB event was marketed as a "sneaker summit" and took place on February 24, 2011 at thejamjar, a warehouse art gallery in Dubai's Al Quoz neighborhood. Nike, Adidas, Puma, Vans, and DC (among others) exhibited at the event. It also featured a screening of the short film, ''The Mystery of the Flying Kicks'', and performances by a variety of local musicians and DJs. Around 1,000 people are estimated to have attended. ...

Dubai Design District
Dubai Design District (d3) is a purpose-built community in Dubai dedicated to the design, fashion, and culture community, including startups, entrepreneurs, and well-established international design, luxury, and fashion brands. It was established in 2013. It is a TECOM Group freezone business park consisting of three phases, the first of which is 11 building offices, completed in 2016. The district hosts some regional and international brands and design houses such as Adidas, Nike, and Foster + Partners. It comprises office spaces, retail boutiques, workshops, hotels, residential areas, and restaurants and cafes. The district allows professionals and freelancers who do not hold UAE citizenship to obtain a license from the free zone and authorize them to have sole ownership of their projects. Ray-Ban is an American-Italian brand of luxury sunglasses and eyeglasses created in 1936 by Bausch & Lomb. The brand is known for its Wayfarer and Aviator lines of sunglasses. Hassan Hajjaj (born 1961) is a Moroccan contemporary artist who lives and works between London, UK and Marrakesh, Morocco. Early life Hajjaj was born in Larache, Morocco in 1961. Career Hajjaj's first feature-length film, ''Karima: A Day in the Life of a Henna Girl'', premiered at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in May 2015. The film takes viewers into the world of one Hajjaj's most iconic series, ''Kesh Angels'', depicting the henna girls of Marrakesh.
