Sol Weinstein
Sol Weinstein (July 29, 1928 — November 25, 2012) was an American humorist, novelist, radio talk-show host, and comedy writer, best known for his series of satirical novels about Israeli secret agent Israel Bond. Early life Weinstein was born in Trenton, NJ, where his Ukrainian father was a struggling scrap-metal dealer. Weinstein attended Trenton High School, then dropped out of New York University. He went to work at the Trentonian newspaper, while beginning to freelance as a writer for comics like Jackie Kannon, Alan King, and Joe E. Lewis. This soon led to a full-time career as a comedy writer, contributing not only to comedians but also, for several months in 1965, to '' MAD''. During this time, he wrote the song "The Curtain Falls" for Buddy Lester ("People say I was made for this / Nothin’ else would I trade for this / And just think, I get paid for this…"), which went on to become the signature closing number for singer Bobby Darin. Roger Price (March 6, 1918 – October 31, 1990) was an American humorist, author and publisher, who created ''Droodles'' in the 1950s, followed by his collaborations with Leonard B. Stern on the ''Mad Libs'' series. Price and Stern became partners with Larry Sloan in the publishing firm Price Stern Sloan. Biography Price was born in Charleston, West Virginia, and grew up in the mining town of Widen, West Virginia. He graduated from Greenbrier Military School in 1934, then attended the University of Michigan (1934–1936) and the American Academy of Art in Chicago (1936–1938). David R. Reuben (born November 29, 1933) is a psychiatrist, and author. ''The Love Boat'' is an American romantic comedy/drama television series that aired on ABC from 1977 to 1986; in addition, four three-hour specials aired in 1986, 1987, and 1990.
