Sofie Bernhoft
Petra Marie Sofie Bernhoft (July 21, 1870 – February 17, 1966) was a Norwegian actress. Sofie Bernhoft was the daughter of the prison priest and catechist Theodor Kristian Bernhoft (1833–1885) and Petra Martine Augusta Bernhoft (1841–?). She was the sister of the writer Hermine Bernhoft-Osa. She was married to the violinist and composer Halfdan Jebe (1868–1937). Bernhoft started performing at the Central Theater in 1897, initially under Johan Fahlstrøm and later under the leadership of Rudolf Rasmussen. During the 1900–1901 season she was engaged with the Second Theater ( no, Sekondteatret), and then in 1903 she started performing at the Fahlstrøm Theater. She also appeared in performances at the Mayol Theater, the Norwegian Theater, and the Carl Johan Theater. Gustaf Harald August Molander (18 November 1888 – 19 June 1973) was a Sweden, Swedish actor and film director. His parents were director Harald Molander, Sr. (1858–1900) and singer and actress Lydia Molander, ''née'' Wessler, and his brother was the director Olof Molander (1892–1966). He was the father of director and producer Harald Molander from his first marriage to actress Karin Molander and father to actor Jan Molander from his second marriage to Elsa Fahlberg (1892–1977). Gustaf Molander was born in Helsinki, Helsingfors (now Helsinki) in the Grand Duchy of Finland (in the Russian Empire), where his father was working at the Swedish Theatre. ''Sankt Hans fest'' (St. John's Festival or Saint Hans' Celebration) is a Norwegian film directed by Toralf Sandø. It premiered on April 7, 1947. It is based on the 1887 novel ''Sankt Hans Fest'' by Alexander Kielland. Plot The film follows the plot of the novel. The dour priest Kruse is played by Tore Foss, who opposes the business establishment's town party, which is planned by Johannes Eckhoff as Garman, Jon Lennart Mjøen as Randulf, Claus Wiese as Holck, Erling Drangsholt as the bank manager, and Sigurd Magnussøn as the county governor. ''Trysil-Knut'' is a Norwegian film from 1942. Rasmus Breistein directed this skiing melodrama during the German occupation of Norway. It tells the story of the legendary skier Knut from Trysil, an ardent patriot at the beginning of the 1800s who uses his skiing skills to prevent war from breaking out between Norway and Sweden. Knut also wins back a property that he was cheated out of and his "princess." Like many of the films from the interwar period or the occupation years, this is an adventure story. Breistein's point of departure for the story was a popular novel by Rudolf Muus from 1914, and he was also inspired by Bernt Lund's poem from 1861 and by 's story from 1909. Guri Stormoen (10 September 1901 – 1 November 1974) was a Norwegian actress. She was active both on stage and in film. Biography She was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway as a daughter of actor Harald Stormoen (1872–1937) and his first wife, theatre leader Inga Bjørnson (1871–1952). She was a half-sister of Botten Soot and half-aunt of Svend von Düring through her mother's earlier marriage to Eyolf Soot. Also through her mother, Guri Stormoen was a grandniece of Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson. On her paternal side she was a relative of Hans Stormoen, Kjell Stormoen and Even Stormoen. She took her education in ballet at the National Theatre and in theatre in Denmark. She made her stage debut in 1918 and film debut in 1921 in the movie ''Felix''. ''En stille flirt'' (A Quiet Flirt) is a Swedish romantic comedy film starring Norwegian actors from 1933. It is the Norwegian-language version of a twin production with the 1934 Swedish-language version ''En stilla flirt''. It is based on the novel ''Min knapphullsblomst'' (The Flower in My Buttonhole) by Edith Øberg. It was distributed by the company Svensk Filmindustri. The screenplay was written by Gösta Stevens and the film was directed by Gustaf Molander. It is 95 minutes long. The Swedish-language version of the film, ''En stilla flirt'', was shot with Swedish actors act the same time. However, the Norwegian actress Tutta Rolf played the female lead in both versions of the film. In the Swedish version, her character was called Diddi Werner, and in the Norwegian version she was called Lillemor. Tutta sang the title song from the film, which was composed by Jules Sylvain.
