Socialist Party (India) (founded May, 2011) is a left-wing political party in India. History In 2011, several socialist groups and individuals formed the Socialist Party (India), which intends to carry forward the legacy of the Socialist Party formed in 1948. The party was formed through a resolution passed by Mr. Pannalal Surana at the foundation conference on 28 May 2011, under the chairmanship of Prof. Keshav Rao Jadhav. Thampan Thomas
Thampan Thomas is an Indian politician. He was elected to the Lok Sabha, lower house of the Parliament of India from Mavelikara (Lok Sabha constituency), Mavelikara, Kerala in 1984 as a member of the Janata Party. He is president of Socialist Party (India), 2011, Socialist Party (India). Biography Thampan Thomas Ex-MP is an Indian Socialist and trade union leader as well as a prominent Advocate of the Kerala High Court and Supreme Court of India. He represented the Mavelikkara LS constituency of Kerala during 1984-89. He has been travelling with the socialist movement for the last six decades. Sandeep Pandey (born 22 July 1965) is an Indian social activist and the present General Secretary of the Socialist Party (India). He co-founded Asha for Education with Dr. Deepak Gupta (presently Professor at IIT Kanpur) and V.J.P Srivastava while working on his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. He has taught as a visiting professor at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar, NALSAR University of Law and Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi. Keshav Rao Jadhav was an activist for separate state of Telangana. He is now the convener of Telangana Jana Parishad. Early life and career Keshav Rao Jadhav was the president of Osmania University Teachers Association before he got retired as the Professor in English Department of Osmania University.
