''So Unreal'' is the debut album by Rotterdam based singer-songwriter iET. The album was released in three phases, first in the Netherlands on February 21, secondly in Japan on March 26 and then worldwide on June 9, 2014. Critical reception ''So Unreal'' has received generally positive reviews from music critics. Karma Bertelsen at Music Week called the album "vivacious", adding that "the album boasts a musical kaleidoscope, whilst still managing to maintain its accessibility and ease of listening". Erwin Zijlemanone of the popular blog Indie Fuzz called iET "one of the most impressive and expressive neo-soul singers I’ve heard in quite a while", adding that "producer Russell Elevado brings out the best in her". IET (musician)
iET (born 1978, birthname Lisa Van Viegen) is a Dutch singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Born in the town of Rhenen to a musical family, she began playing the Flugelhorn at age 9, and began writing songs at 14 in her native Dutch. She briefly studied at Conservatorium van Amsterdam before leaving to pursue her own style and productions. In 2008 whilst frequenting the pro-audio production and engineering forum Gearslutz.com she came across forum posts by producer Russell Elevado, who was searching for new artists to collaborate with. Using MySpace she contacted him and they quickly began discussing plans to record a project together, culminating in a meeting when Elevado was in the Netherlands lecturing at the Red Bull Music Academy. Over the following years, when scheduling allowed they worked on her debut album "So Unreal", finally completing it in 2013. Russell Elevado (born 1966 in the Philippines) is a recording engineer and record producer based in New York City. Accolades Russell Elevado has a catalog of 50 full albums from the over 100 albums in his discography. Elevado earned a Grammy Award in 2000 for his work recording and mixing contemporary R&B recording artist D'Angelo's critically acclaimed album ''Voodoo''. Veronica is a brand name of successive Dutch commercial radio and television stations. It began its life as an offshore radio station, Radio Veronica, on 17 May 1960. The name comes from its first name VRON (Vrije Radio Omroep Nederland; ).
