"So Close" is a song by British singer Dina Carroll, released as the third single from her album by the same name (1993) in November 1992. Produced by Nigel Lowis, it peaked at number 20 on the UK Singles Chart. Critical reception Larry Flick from ''Billboard'' described the song as a "plush ballad". He noted that Carroll's "rich and appealing alto is cushioned by soft keyboard lines and warm backing harmonies." Geraldine Carroll (born 21 August 1968) is an English singer. She had a string of hits during the 1990s, including the UK top ten singles, " It's Too Late" (1991), " Don't Be a Stranger" (1993), "The Perfect Year", (1993), and "Escaping" (1996). Carroll released two studio albums, '' So Close'' (1993) and '' Only Human'' (1996), both of which reached number two on the UK Albums Chart and were certified platinum. The European Dance Radio Chart (also known as European Dance Radio Top 25) was a weekly chart compiled by pan-European magazine ''Music & Media''. After dance music had played a more dominant role on the magazine's Eurochart Hot 100 in the beginning of the 1990s, the new chart was launched on 28 September 1991. "Ain't No Man" is a song by British singer-songwriter Dina Carroll. After singing on two singles with British dance production duo Quartz, she was relaunched as a solo artist with the song, which was released in June 1992 as the first single from her debut album, '' So Close'' (1993). Lyrically it is sung from the view of a woman singing to her man, telling him that there ain't no man that makes her feel like he do. Carroll told in an 1992 interview, "We wanted an anthemic, memorable song. For some reason, Nigel owisbrought up 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough', and that idea evolved into 'Ain't No Man'."
