Smitha Harikrishna (born 6 November 1973 in Bangalore, Karnataka) is a former One Day International cricketer who represented India. She is a right-hand batsman and bowls right-arm medium pace. She has played 22 ODIs for India and scored 231 runs and took 8 wickets. In July 2007, Harikrishna coached the United Arab Emirates women's national team at its debut international tournament, the 2007 ACC Women's Tournament. The team lost all three of its matches. Women's One Day International Cricket
Women's One Day International (WODI) is the limited overs form of women's cricket. Matches are scheduled for 50 overs, equivalent to the men's game. The first women's ODIs were played in 1973, as part of the first Women's World Cup which was held in England. The first ODI saw the hosts beat an International XI. The 1,000th women's ODI took place between South Africa and New Zealand on 13 October 2016. A One Day International (ODI) is a form of limited overs cricket, played between two teams with international status, in which each team faces a fixed number of overs, currently 50, with the game lasting up to 9 hours. The Cricket World Cup, generally held every four years, is played in this format. The United Arab Emirates women's national cricket team represents United Arab Emirates in international women's cricket and is organised by the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB).
