''Smile, It's the End of the World'' is the second full-length album by pop punk band Hawk Nelson. It was released on April 4, 2006. The record was a 2007 GMA Dove Award nominee for Rock Album, produced by Aaron Sprinkle. It was also a nominee for Recorded Music Packaging, designed by Jason Powers. It is also the longest album by the band. ''Smile, It's the End of the World'' charted at No. 75 on the ''Billboard'' 200 after selling more than 14,000 copies in its opening week. "The Show" is on the Digital Praise PC game '' Guitar Praise''. Track listing A different version of "Bring 'Em Out", which features Drake Bell, was released on the band's 2005 EP of the same name and on the special edition of ''Hawk Nelson Is My Friend''. Hawk Nelson is a Canadian Rock music, rock band from Peterborough, Ontario. Formed in 2000, the band has released eight studio albums to date. History Early independent releases (2000–2003) In 2000, Dunn, Clark, and Paige founded a Peterborough, Ontario, Peterborough-based group called "SWISH", while Biro sang lead vocals for a four-piece group called the "Cheese Monkeys from Planet Nine" from Barrie, Ontario. In 2000, SWISH released their first independent album, ''Riding Around the Park'' on Mime Radio, an independent record label based in Peterborough. 38th GMA Dove Awards
The 38th Annual GMA Dove Awards were held on April 25, 2007 recognizing accomplishments of musicians for the year 2006. The show was held at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee, and was hosted by Brian Littrell, Natalie Grant, and Donnie McClurkin. This was the first year in which the awards were called the "GMA Dove Awards" since the 2006 edition was called the "GMA Music Awards". Nominations were announced earlier on February 20, 2007 by Juanita Bynum, Brian Littrell and Thor Ramsey at the Hilton Nashville Downtown in Music City, Tennessee. Dove Award
A Dove Award is an accolade by the Gospel Music Association (GMA) of the United States to recognize outstanding achievement in the Christian music industry. The awards are presented annually. Formerly held in Nashville, Tennessee, the Dove Awards took place in Atlanta, Georgia during 2011 and 2012, but has since moved back to Nashville. Randy Torres
Randy Torres is a guitarist, drummer, keyboardist and background vocalist from Seattle. He has previously played for the bands Project 86, a Christian rock group, and Crash Rickshaw. He has filled in as rhythm guitarist for the band Demon Hunter and as keyboardist, guitarist, percussionist and background vocalist for Anberlin on a recent tour. Jonathan Steingard
Jonathan Steingard (born 1983) is a Canadian musician who was the lead vocalist and lead guitarist for the Christian pop-punk band Hawk Nelson, which he joined in October 2004, replacing the former guitarist David Clark. He took over vocal duties upon Jason Dunn's departure in March 2012, until his own departure in 2020.
